The Transportation Security Administration announced Monday (Dec. 1) it plans to charge U.S. air travelers a $45 fee starting Feb. 1 if they arrive at airport security without a REAL ID — or another approved form of identification.

If you like to procrastinate, your time might be about up — that is if you don't want to get charged an extra $45 and a potentially lengthy screening process at the airport.
