One day a husband was outside doing yard work.

As he was working, he looked around and saw most of the other neighbors’ yards flourishing with lustrous green grass.

One neighbor, preparing to sell was getting an upgraded deck and backyard creating what looked like a “extra fill dirt”.

The husband thought to himself, “ maybe if I can grab some of this fill dirt from my neighbor and add it to the dry struggling patches of grass, it will grow “.

And so he did.

Weeks and months later, as the dirt began to settle he would learn that the “ fill dirt” was full of rocks, concrete and other things making his yard worse.

He became overwhelmed leaving the yard work along with everything else to the wife.

The wife worked hard to take care of the family, the home including the yard work slowly removing the rocks allowing for growth.

She eventually decided to sell and upgrade like her previous neighbors.

Moral of the story is this. The grass is greener according to how you water and take care of it.

But it’s also not about grass.

Fences Energy: When Love Stops Evolving | Troy and Rose from Fences are the anatomy of imbalance, the physics of love trapped in gravity. Troy’s energy was masculine ego at full voltage: all motion, no evolution. Rose’s was divine loyalty, soft, stabilizing, yet slowly dimming from overextension.

Remember that scene when Troy confesses his affair? Rose stands there, holding years of sacrifice in her silence. She doesn’t explode. She expands. That moment wasn’t just heartbreak, it was energetic collapse. You could feel the field between them distort. His ego had grown louder than his soul, and her loyalty had become the fence that kept her from herself.
Troy loved through provision; Rose loved through preservation. But provision without emotional growth breeds control. And preservation without reciprocity breeds resentment. Together, they became a frequency that once harmonized but no longer oscillated, it just echoed.

That’s the metaphysics of misalignment. When love stops evolving, energy stops circulating. One gives. One takes. The current dies.

Rose’s choice to stay wasn’t weakness, it was spiritual inertia. A woman can outgrow the love she still honors. She stayed faithful, not because she didn’t see the imbalance, but because she believed love could resurrect what ego buried.

That’s Fences energy. A living reminder that loyalty without evolution becomes self-betrayal. And that real love, the kind that ascends, requires both hearts to keep expanding, or one soul gets left standing in the yard of what used to be home.

MARRIED FOLKS!
Last night, my husband accidentally knocked a wine glass over and it smashed to pieces on the floor. I wasn’t there to see him do it but I heard the crash. He proceeded to clean up and checked for pieces and after being satisfied that he’d got every piece he went to bed for the night.
Now,I tend to get up and do random things at night around the house so I got up and went to the laundry room. As I went through the kitchen, I saw a couple of pretty nice size pieces of glass.
Honestly, my first response was irritation… I mean it seemed so careless, and what if one of the boys would have gotten up and gone to the kitchen and stepped on a shard? I was becoming increasingly upset when I heard in my spirit a voice of correction saying, ” Aren’t you the helpmeet?”
With this rhetorical question I understood that I should be glad that I was up to pick up what he missed. I re-swept the floor and began moving things around incase pieces had managed to ricochet off somewhere else. I found quite a few.

This is marriage. Our spouses may not always get it right even with their very best efforts, but a true helpmeet sees where there is lack and makes up the difference.

It’s not always time to complain, sometimes it’s time complete.

Sophia Ruffin declared that God is sending you a spouse who will add to your life and not take away. A spouse who will support you and not compete with you. A spouse who got you! And that’s on that! And I stand in agreement with her!!

This moment was prerecorded in heaven. The enemy couldn’t undo what GOD has determined. This man literally listened to me preach before I preached, turned off the tv while I cried out to GOD, calmed my nerves when I was overwhelmed, listened to me break the text, ironed my clothes, prayed with me and for me, worked the altar and covered me 🫶🏾🙌🏾💕!!!

GOD is faithful. We have two assignments this week. Next up, Tampa & ATL! Pray for us.

I declare GOD is sending you a spouse who will add to your life and not take away. A spouse who will support you and not compete with you. A spouse who got you! And that’s on that!

What Say Ye?

🥂🥂 Today marks the 2nd year Anniversary of when I created "The Married Table Talk "- a safe space for "Married" people or those who truly aspire to be married believing in the "covenant" of marriage. The goal was to create a platform where we could RESPECTFULLY engage in open, honest dialogue surrounding the challenges that marriage face and how to overcome conflict through Biblical yet practical principles.

I was sure that the Lord said that he was severing ALL unequally yoked relationships and separating the wheat from the tares so that he could raise up KINGDOM marriages and he wanted my voice and influence.

I WAS Ready! So that December, I created a PODCAST recorded the first episode, created a page, website, merch and even had a soft launch selling out!

And then BOOM! My marriages and friendships went under attack and I GOT SCARED! Fear, doubt, shame , insecurities silenced me! As with so many others.

But no more! I would learn over these 2 years that I was not the only one. Beyond the poses, posts and filters, marriage became a bo***ge and burden for some!
