Photos from my last show at True Story Brewing Company featuring Harvest band , Tabula Rasa, Horror Party and Good Trouble! Harvest are a 3 piece heavy rock band from North AL. These guys kicked off the show with some heavy rock, that at times has elements of psychedlic/stoner rock in it. The vocals of Bazal are gruff and throaty, and his bass playing is heavy and locked in groove with Preston on drums. Brent's riffs and lead work were great as usual and add so much texture and melody to the songs. Next up were Tabula Rasa from Chattanooga, and they are a 4 piece metal band with death and hardcore elements. Joshua's vocals are intense and range from singing all the way to gutturals. His stage presence is just as intense as his vocals too! Brian had some great melodic playing, with some great riffs that were HEAVY! Julian's bass playing was super tight and his energy on stage was infectious and he even jumped down into the pit and crowd to get people moving! Caleb's drumming was also super tight and his precision and speed were so fluid but also could play crushing breakdowns and grooves! Next up were Horror Party from Jackson, MS, who play super catchy horror punk songs! Mandy is an incredible singer and she has so much power as well! She writes/sings super catchy melodies that get stuck in your head almost instantly! Ronnie's guitar playing is super old school punk influenced and is loud and in your face, and he also writes great guitar hooks and also sings great additional vocals! The rhythm section of Brad and Riley were solid as hell and added a nice punch to the music! Horror Party are always a blast! Last to take the stage was Good Trouble who are a 5 piece emo/pop-punk/rock band from the Bham area featuring Jake on vocals, Christian and Josh on guitar/lead guitar respectively, Joey on bass and Peyton on drums. These guys are super tight and write really catchy songs! They mix a lot of different elements together, but land nicely in the rock genre. Jake's vocals are always a highlight and he can sing super clean but also get gritty when he needs! Christian's influence of Manchester Orchestra definitely comes across in the band and these guys always sound incredible and I can't wait to see what's next!
