Bitter Route came down from Huntsville and left it all on the stage, and under it too I’m pretty sure! Lol
These guys had killer energy, and all were killer players! The vocal harmonies were reminiscent of bands like Alice In Chains on several of their songs which I really dig! Go check them out and give them some love!

Stoneman - Atl closed the night and are consistently one of my favorite bands to watch live! Every member is tight as hell on their instruments, they have killer guitar harmonies that aren’t predictable, and the rhythm section is heavy as hell! We’re definitely gonna try to get both bands back through sometime this year If possible!!

Thanks always to the True Story team for always being so accommodating, and thanks to Grace for being an awesome friend that runs the door every time, and to Gloria and the girls for their support!

Every person that walks through the doors at my shows is making a difference! Thank you to those who show up! ❤️

*show update* unfortunately Kamikaze Zombie is having to drop off of tomorrow’s show because their van is in the shop. The show must go on, and the cover will be updated to $10. Stoneman - Atl, Until Skies Fall and Bitter Route are still gonna come throw down and make for a great show!

* If any heavy bands are interested in jumping on feel free to shoot me a dm, Spirit Guardian may fill in if nobody else can

The March Alt Art Market was held on Saturday and featured 11 vendors, and 3 acoustic performers/bands! Driven to Abstraction, Boundless Ennui, Gloria Aitken Art, Knight’ N Day Artificery, Wolfe Tango Foxtrot, The Futile Jewelry, Hurst House Creations, Mignight Sewing, Whatever Arts and Crafts, Blue Dragon Glass and Toie’s Killer Kreations all setup for the evening with a variety of art, crafts, and all kinds of other amazing goods! Make sure to check them all out!

Josh Carples opened the night and played a mix of songs from his discography including several off of his new ep, “The End of an Era”, which is available to stream everywhere! He has a great new video for his song “Unsung”, that i also highly recommend!

Earth the Alice was up next and the duo is comprised of Eric McGinty and Peter Wilm and they play acoustic folk/punk. Peter plays a standup drumset featuring a homemade cymbal stand/lamp and sings, while Eric plays a highly modified acoustic guitar and also sings! These guys are always a blast!

Last up was Mike Slaten, half of Duos Locos. Mike is an incredible singer and guitarist and his set was comprised of some killer instrumental loop jams, and some amazing covers including an emotionally moving rendition of “Hurt”. His looping was amazing and I loved all of the harmonies he would build in each loop!

Thanks to True Story Brewing Company for allowing us to use this space once a months and thanks to Grace for being so amazing and helping us out at the door!

Neoterra opened the night with some killer thrashy-metal that featured ripping guitar solos and harmonies! The band consists of Mike Dollar and Luke White on guitar/lead guitar respectively, Chance Crawford on vocals, Jeff Spitzer on bass and Ken “Lefty” Shiflett on drums. These guys killed it!!

Next up were my buds, Jack the Elbow! They are a progressive hard rock trio, with top notch vocals lead by Madison Langham(bass) with Caleb Wilemon(guitar) adding in killer harmonies, and all held together by Taylor Gusler on drums! They played a couple new tracks as well that were amazing and these guys are all killer players!

I closed the night out with a Spirit Guardian set that was all new songs and I got to talk about some of the story and lore behind the albums and how it all lead up to the third release. I truly appreciate everyone who came and listened! For photos of spirit guardian please check out my friend Tony and his page Rusted Venue, as wel as the incredible Jaysen Michael who runs playground! Thanks to my amazing wife Gloria for the incredible art for my album, as well as the amazing visuals she made for the show and the overall support, thanks to Leon, Grace, Chris, Craig and Anna for their help and support with the show and for being awesome!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the show at True Story Brewing Company on Saturday! We had a super versatile lineup that was a blast!

Playing’ Wit Fire opened the night and they are a 4-piece rap-rock fusion band from Bham. They started their set with their bassist (Fire Camino), playing an acoustic country song when their guitarist walked onstage and smashed it and kicked off their actual set. Their energy was top notch and the heavy, groove based riffs with Justin’s raps over the top of it definitely appealed to my love of RATM! Guitarist, Alex had some killer riffs and leads and Josh on drums was the glue that held it all together! These guys were super fun and started out tbe show on a high note!

Following them were my good buds in Genki Genki Panic from Chattanooga! These guys never fail to impress as they rip through surf drenched, instrumental punk with the most absurd song names you’ve probably ever heard! The whole band rip, but I’m always blown away by Project Bat’s effortless guitar playing! Cemetery Bozzio (drums) and Rikki P**s (bass) hold down the rhythm section and rip it up when it’s called for as well! These guys are a joy to listen to and you can catch them back down here at the end of March!

Beast from Atlanta we’re up next! The three piece is anchored by my buddy, Randy on drums who is an absolute machine! Vocalist/guitarist/synth player Erica and bassist/vocalist Josh are both excellent players as well and their energy was infectious! Erica set music was heavy, with dance and punk elements intertwined and their light show really elevated the whole experience! Their songs were super catchy and they put on an amazing show!

Next up were Tetragram from the Montgomery area! This 5 piece features Rebekah on vocals, Buck on guitar/vocals, Casper on keys/synth, Zane on bass and Chad on drums. That blend alternative rock, with experimental elements and some synth/dance vibes also mixed in. Their music really has so many layers and textures to it that create lush soundscapes with heavy bass and drums pushing it all forward! Every note feels calculated but the chaotic energy of punk is still mixed in with it all!

Last to take the stage were Sam and the Big Boys This 4 piece from Gadsden plays original rock music influenced by bands like Allman Brothers, The Beatles and the Band! All of these guys were top notch players and their 4 part harmonies were killer! They played an extended set that had everyone smiling and dancing! I really loved their use of guitar harmonies as well! Definitely check these guys out! The band features brothers Myles and Zane on drums and guitar respectively, Sam on bass and Kody on guitar withh vocals from all four!

Thanks to Craig and Anna, Leon and Cristan, and to everyone who came out! Next show is March 7th featuring Neoterra, Jack the Elbow and Spirit Guardian Music!

Part 2 of photos will be all Sam and the Big Boys since fb only allows 80 at a time!
