You’ll hear marketers throw around the term “review velocity.”
Here’s what it actually means....and why it matters.
Google doesn’t want:
• 10 reviews in one day
• Reviews from out of state
• Reviews from brand-new Gmail accounts
That’s a fast way to raise red flags.
What Google does want is consistency and detail.
Think 2–5 reviews per week, spread out over real customers you actually helped.
Even better when reviews include:
• What service was done
• Where it was done (specific cities, not just “Alabama”)
• Real details about the job
One simple shift that helps a lot:
Don’t ask, “Can you leave a 5-star review?”
Ask instead:
“Would you mind sharing detailed feedback about your experience on Google?”
Ask right after the job is finished — when the customer is happiest.
Detailed, consistent reviews = higher trust.
Higher trust = lower suspension risk.
Lower risk = more visibility, more calls, more revenue.
