The West Rock Mountain Nature Preserve is now officially OPEN to the public!

Come explore 400 acres of natural beauty right here in Hueytown featuring:

🥾 6 miles of hiking & biking trails
🏞️ Scenic mountaintop and views
📱 Trail maps available through the Trailforks app.
Maps at the trailhead will also have a QR code where you can scan to get the app. There is a free version of the app.

The preserve is located at 250 Dee Hendrix Road Hueytown

The B-17 "Sentimental Journey", shown here, along with the B-25 "Maid in the Shade," will be on display at the Bessemer Airport May 5-10. Built and delivered to the Air Force in 1945, the Sentimental Journey now makes stops across the U.S., wowing crowds and keeping the memory of one of the most important planes in U.S. military history alive.
