Greetings Army of God,
The Gees Bend mission was a tremendous example of what awesome things we can achieve when men and women allow themselves to work together sharing the love of Jesus and God got all the Glory. We had a fantastic turn out of volunteers and residents and all we set out to do was accomplished. The Medical team treated and dispensed free medicines to more than 40 of the residents in the mobile clinic, UAB Department of Otolaryngology performed free Head and neck cancer screening and counseling to all they could see, the Greater Shiloh ministry team fed over 120 volunteers and residents and also ministered the love of Jesus to them. The Clothing ministry gave away more than 200 bags of clothes and the other support teams gave away free medicine, counseling , free medical equipment and supplies. The Evangelical team shared the love of Jesus, gave free hair cuts and manicures to the residents, gave away bibles, played spiritual games and gave out gifts to the children. What a mighty God we serve and what a wonderful time we had partnering with our volunteers, volunteers from 3 social service agency's, volunteers from 4-5 churches and Greater Shiloh's Evangelical team coming together to give out dozens of care packages and food boxes, over 75 book bags full of school supplies and our SOL fashion ministry TraVitalize produced an amazing fashion show with the Children of Gees Bend. The Evangelical team went through out the crowd, sharing the love of Jesus and praying for and sharing Jesus with more than 30 sick and unsaved residents. The goal we had to inspire the youth to have their very best school year ever was communicated and it kept getting better as the volunteers visited the Gees Bend Quilter's museum and helped SOL as we celebrated 23 years of Ministry and Missions in the Black Belt. What an unbelievable time we packed into this 12 hour fun filled 23rd anniversary of the Spirit of Luke Foundation's "A Promise to Help" medical missionary movement. And we headed home "blessed and thankful". For all these things we give all the glory to God.

PILLOW MINISTRY UPDATE
We all know and most experts agree that there are three goods that we can supply to help our children have great academic years and they are a good breakfast & lunch, good school supplies and a good night sleep. We believe that the past 21 years that we’ve been doing our back to school, rally in the Black Belt we have helped with the good school supply portion of the equation. We believe that the school breakfast & lunch program has helped tremendously with the nutritional needs and now we are embarking on helping with the value of a good night sleep portion.
We are calling it our Spirit Of Luke pillow ministry, These are the areas of concentration:
1. Supply, new pillows and pillowcases for each student .
2. Supply a scripture word for the year to be printed on each pillowcase with the students name.
3. Pray for each student to have the best academic year of their life.
We are asking for your help to implement this program in the coming months. We need a Sleep coordinator for each community, a design team for scripture pillowcases and an acquisition coordinator. Please call me if you can help.
Here are five key values of a good night's sleep:
1. Rest and Recovery: Sleep allows your body and mind to rest and recover from the day's activities, promoting overall well-being and health.
2. Cognitive Function: Quality sleep is essential for optimal cognitive function, including improved memory, concentration, and problem-solving abilities.
3. Emotional Well-being: Adequate sleep can help regulate emotions, reduce stress, and improve mood, contributing to better mental health.
4. Physical Health: Sleep plays a crucial role in supporting the immune system, regulating hormones, and promoting physical health and healing.
5. Energy and Vitality: A good night's sleep can increase energy levels, enhance productivity, and help you feel refreshed and ready to tackle the day ahead.
If this revelation Resonates with you, please consider donating to this mission if not with your money your time.
Thanks.

Matthew 5: 14-16
14You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a peck measure, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16Let your light so shine before men that they may see your [z]moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and [aa]recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.
