Because these changes take effect in 2026, you have a window of opportunity. If you’ve been considering a significant gift to your church or another ministry, making that gift before Dec. 31 means you’ll benefit from the current rules.

Our Story

Is Alabama where you call home? Us too. And we would love to visit over coffee and talk about things.

That’s why we have been around for more than 175 years — to engage in the conversation about the things that are important to us, the stories that are happening in our neighborhoods, churches, communities and conventions and in our nation and around the world.

We would love for you to be a part.

It is a conversation that has been going on since 1843, when Baptists in Alabama first decided they needed a way to keep in touch with each other and stay informed on what Baptists were doing at home and across the globe. Today The Alabama Baptist is still doing that, but with the added priority of providing practical help for readers to better live out their faith in the current cultural landscape.
