I'm excited to introduce you to the newest member of the WBRC First Alert Weather Team. Please give a warm Alabama welcome to Carlyn McCreary!

Carlyn will be covering weekend evenings, joining us on First Alert Weather Extra throughout the week, and helping track storms and fill in across our weather coverage.

A Kentucky native and University of Oklahoma graduate, Carlyn brings valuable experience covering severe weather across Tornado Alley.

Congratulations to my wonderful parents, Mack and Shirley Ferguson.
They’ve been married 68 years today.
68 years!!!
And, what Godly examples they have been my whole life.
They’ve raised 4-children in the church and we are all believers because of these two individuals, and that belief has been passed down to their grandchildren and now great grandchildren. 
I couldn’t be more proud to be your son!
Thank you, thank you and may God bless you with many more years together.!

Gina and I enjoyed eating lunch at the new Local Joe’s Southside Pit and Grill.
I had the beef brisket tacos. Gotta recommend those! They had a nice smoky flavor. Brisket was tender too. It came with homemade potato chips, which seemed like they have a barbecue seasoning to them… very good.
Ginna had Buttons and Bows, a Chicken Alfredo style pasta dish with bowtie pasta, being the bows, and the buttons being the mushrooms set on top.
She had a recommended choice of piece of sweet potato roll that came with it, that she loved.
Then for dessert we had had Keylime cake, which was delicious—with cream cheese icing!
Their strawberry cake is also also wonderful….Both made from scratch by a local baker!
Impressive first week, LJ’s!
We hope to be back!
