Before you make dating rules for your kids… can I challenge you to pause for a second?

Because let’s be honest…
they’re not dating the way we did.

So instead of jumping straight to rules, try asking yourself:

💭 What is the real principle behind this old rule?
💭 How can we maintain that principle in today’s culture?
💭 If there’s no clear principle, is the rule still necessary?

Because at the end of the day, it’s not really about who texts first or what age they start dating.

It’s about teaching self-respect.
Emotional maturity.
And how to build healthy relationships.

…and my big parenting fail.

But we also talk about the things that mattered more than getting it right.

Her biggest takeaway?

She didn’t always agree with us…
but she understood where we were coming from.
