Bert Grantham, age 59 of Sumiton, a beloved husband, son, Dad, Baba and friend, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday May 24, 2017.
Bert was a loving, friendly and caring person, loved by all who knew him. Bert loved the beach and meeting people.
Bert spent his working career with Bellsouth, where he retired. He was presently employed with Ken Glover Drugs. Bert loved and adored his wife and family, especially his grandbabies.
Bert leaves behind his loving wife Denise; his loving parents, Martha and Bert Grantham; his son, Westley and wife Melissa; his daughter, Alayna and husband Corey; his sister, Brenda Bailey; niece, Carmen Bailey; nephew, Logan Bailey; his three loving grandsons, Samuel, Sebastian and Grady; along with a host of other family members and many friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday May 27, 2017 at 12:00 noon in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Phillip Walker will officiate. Visitation is Saturday from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to your favorite charity.

Hey Tech'sters, due to increasing needs at home, I can't organize the reunion this year. I would be more than happy to help as much as I can. I had spoken several months ago to Senor Chef's at the old Incahoot's at Buck Creek bridge in Old Town Helena, about a large crowd and they seemed interested. Again, I wish I could do this, really loved seeing y'all at the first one. Hugs

Steve Moseley contacted me with some unfortunate news about Wanda Pinkston passing away the other day.

It is with much sadness that I pass along the news that Wanda Pinkston (Landers) passed away last Thursday evening following a three month battle with diabetes complications and a stroke. Please keep her son Robbie (25), her Parents, and her brother and two sisters and their families in your prayers during this difficult time.

Wanda L. Landers, 54, of Muscle Shoals, went home to be with her heavenly Father on January 14, 2016 at 10:49 p.m.  She fought a lengthy battle with illness before being called to a better place. Wanda was a lifetime member of Highland Park Baptist Church in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. She...
