These are the church potluck recipes that instantly take me back. 😊 They’re the home-cooked meals that used to show up at every church fellowship hall, family reunion, and Sunday lunch. But nowadays, you hardly ever see anyone making them!🤦‍♀️

In my opinion, these recipes are becoming endangered! You can’t find them on restaurant menus, and many of them are slowly disappearing from our kitchens. But they’re far too good to be forgotten.

1️⃣Lemon Blueberry Dump Cake
2️⃣Chocolate Chess Pie
3️⃣Baked Rice with Mushrooms (aka- “church lady rice”)
4️⃣Cheesy Chicken Broccoli Rice Casserole
5️⃣Chocolate Gravy
6️⃣Chocolate Eclair Icebox Dessert
7️⃣Buttermilk Pie
8️⃣Poppyseed Chicken Casserole
9️⃣Apple Dump Cake Crisp
🔟Summer Squash Casserole

Which of these church potluck recipes do you think deserves a comeback? And what nostalgic recipe did your family always make that you rarely see anymore?

These 4-ingredient Buttermilk Popsicles are one of my favorite summer desserts, and they’re perfect to make with your kids and grandkids! They are incredibly easy to throw together, NO blender required. Just stir everything together, freeze, and enjoy.😉

And if buttermilk popsicles don’t sound appealing, trust me on this one. They taste just like cheesecake on a stick! 😍

I first fell in love with buttermilk popsicles at Steel City Pops here in Alabama (which is sadly no longer in business). Ever since then, I’ve loved making this homemade version during the summertime. They’re especially perfect for Fourth of July gatherings, lake weekends, and hot summer afternoons.

These are the BBQ side dishes I plan to make when my kids and grandkids gather at the lake this summer.🥰 These are the tried-and-true BBQ recipes I come back to every year because they’re easy, tasty, and perfect for feeding a crowd without spending all day in the kitchen.😉

1️⃣ Best Vinegar Slaw (perfect piled onto BBQ sandwiches!)
2️⃣ Homemade Pimento Cheese
3️⃣ Beale Street Baked Beans (our family’s FAVORITE BBQ side dish!)
4️⃣ Stuffed Sweet Potato Skins (my favorite twist on classic potato skins)
5️⃣ Wicked Deviled Eggs (I use a not-so-secret ingredient takes these over the top!)
6️⃣ Black Bean, Corn & Feta Dip
7️⃣ Southern-Style Collard Greens

A year ago, I shared publicly that my husband had converted to Catholicism and opened up about what it has looked like for us to navigate faith differences within our marriage and family. Since then, so many of you have kindly asked where I stand today. 🤍

In this episode, I’m sharing an honest update on my faith journey as a Protestant, including what aspects of Catholicism have deeply resonated with me, what questions I still wrestle with, and how these conversations have impacted my marriage, family relationships, and friendships along the way.

This conversation is very personal, and my hope is simply to invite you into my thought process and what I’ve been learning over the past year. I’m still learning every single day, and I know that journey is far from over!

To hear the full episode and my reasoning for why I’m not Catholic, comment “PODCAST” below and I’ll send it to you. 🤍😘

As a grandmother, nothing makes me happier than a grandbaby visit!🥰 When my girls and their little families come over, these are some of my favorite quick, easy meals to serve. Most of them can be made ahead or pulled from the freezer, so I’m always ready for a last-minute drop-in.😉

🍽️ MEALS

1️⃣ Chicken Tetrazzini (make-ahead & freezer-friendly)

2️⃣ Spaghetti with Meat Sauce (another great freezer meal!)

3️⃣ Sprite & Dale’s Grilled Chicken

🍴 SIDES

1️⃣ Southern Potato Salad (perfect if you don’t love potato salad that tastes too heavy on mayo & eggs!)

2️⃣ Mississippi Green Beans (easy to make ahead)

3️⃣ Easy Peasy Baby Bleu Salad (my most popular salad recipe!)

🍰 DESSERTS

1️⃣ Chocolate Bundt Cake (I always love having one tucked away in the freezer!)

2️⃣ Mimi’s Skillet Blackberry Cobbler (a family recipe we never get tired of)

Comment “RECIPES” below, and I’ll send you links to all of them.

And tell me: what are your go-to meals when your kids or grandkids come over? I’d love to hear what you love making for your family!😘
