My childhood friend Shun owns this beautiful restaurant, and her daughters are the head chefs. The last time I saw Shun was about 15 years ago when I visited her lovely home in Chelsea, AL with my then-husband.

I’m not surprised at all by this amazing restaurant. I remember one of her daughters being just a teenager back then, and she cooked us fried chicken that was absolutely delicious. To see that same passion grow into a family-led restaurant today is so special.

When I walked in, the place was fully booked. I went with my girlfriends, and I truly believe God opened the door for us because He knew my heart towards her and her kids. It was such a blessing.

Congratulations, Shun and daughters! To everyone I know: make a reservation and book your seat. This restaurant brings something different and refreshing to downtown Birmingham.

I won’t spoil everything on the menu, but let me just say this: the short ribs are my favorite! 😋 And to top it off, I found out my nephew Dewon Moton painted the murals inside—such a full-circle moment for me.
So proud of you, Shun. Congratulations again! ❤️

The first man that made me a wife👰🏾Mr. Clark! He set the tone for growth. Let me say this, every divorce or breakup don't have to end in pain, sorrow, regret, or bitterness. This is the example of love and respect when you realize a chapter has closed. Today I celebrated with family on "his" 40 acres of land it was a time!!! Nostalgic because I haven't been around like this in over 25 + years but it felt like yesterday. Time waits for no one, enjoy all that you have left with those who honor you. Xoxo!! Sonja Bell
