Bismarck Storm Cleanup Update

The City of Bismarck will continue cleaning up trees and branches that were damaged during the June 20th storm. Bismarck residents can place storm damaged trees and branches on the boulevard for collection. Branches should be cut in lengths so one person can handle them. Branches will not be collected from the alleyways. Trees and branches placed on the boulevards will be picked up on the regular scheduled garbage day by other types of equipment. Please keep garbage and recycling containers at least 4 feet away from trees and branches set out for collection.

Please Park vehicles a minimum of ten feet away from debris piles so damage doesn’t occur when staff pick up storm damaged trees and branches. Please avoid placing tree debris in the street since this will block the water flow to the storm drains, potentially causing street flooding during heavy rain events.

Do Not take branches to the grass collection sites!

The landfill will accept trees and branches damaged by the storm free of charge from Bismarck Residence through July 5th.

Landfill hours: Monday through Saturday from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm.
