This custom painted jazz bass body was recently for sale on Facebook Marketplace for $250. It’s really unique and honestly kind of ugly but I find myself wanting it. It would definitely be a conversation piece.

It’s once again Wednesday and y’all know what that means!

Today we have a guitar that’s not exactly a signature model. It takes the concept of a signature model guitsr to a whole new level.

This artist started his own company and now plays his own line of guitars and amplifiers almost exclusively. That artist is Zakk Wylde and this is the Wylde Audio Barbarian Rawtop Paychic Bullseye!

Born Jeffrey Phillip Weilandt on January 14, 1967, Wylde is best known for his work with Ozzy Osborne, Pride and Glory, Black Label Society, and Pantera.

The Barbarian series of guitars are Wylde’s take on the classic Gibson SG. It has a mahogany body and set maple C-shaped neck. The neck features an ebony fretboard with 22 jumbo frets on a 24.625” scale. They feature EMG 81/85 pickups and ProTones bridge.

The Barbarian Rawtop Psychic Buzzsaw sells used for around $1000 with most other similar Barbarian models selling for $1000 to $1500 depending on availability, finish options, condition and whether you are buying new or used.

The Wylde Audio guitars are made by Schecter.

This 4/6 doubleneck merges a Squier P/J bass with an Aria Pro HSH Strat style guitar together to form what surely is a beast of an instrument to play. It’s interesting how the builder just cut the bodies down and fit them together like a jigsaw puzzle, making no attempt to make them look like a single, finished body.

Today is a follow-up from yesterday. Here we have a couple examples of the Squier Katana bass.

These are more rare and sought after than their guitar counterparts. They are usually $700-$1500 on the second hand market depending on condition.

Today we have a couple examples of the Squier Katana. Designed by Dan Smith, the Katana was made in Japan in 1985-86 for export primarily to the United States.

The Katana was designed to compete with, and as a response to, the unconventionally styled guitars that were popular at the time such as the Jackson Rhodes and Gibson Explorer. There was also a bass version released during this same time period.

The Katana was later re-released as a Fender model but these vintage Squier Katana guitars can be found on the used market, usually for $600-$850 depending on condition.

I saw this a while back for sale on Facebook Marketplace. It’s a 'custom built' Les Paul.

The seller claims that the bridge and wood for the pickguard came off of one of Johnny Cash's acoustic guitars. I have my doubts about that but if it’s true, someone ruined a nice Les Paul and one of Johnny Cash's guitars.

Honestly this thing is pretty awful in my opinion. The seller only wanted $1000 for it.
