Earlier this week, I was able to get on a Zoom call with my former mentee student from Bethel University and the marketing team she’s now interning with.

They are looking at expanding their marketing services to their financial advisors to include social media, so we talked through my process and what I’m seeing that’s working.

Along with a few other things, this is the piece I’m seeing over and over again that’s actually working on social media. People want to feel like they’re connecting with a real person, not Chat GPT.

Yes, there are helpful tools and resources with AI but it can’t replace the human connection.

Life at Content by Carm lately has been BUSY! As I’m working and preparing for maternity leave coming up in the new year (how is it already October??), my days have been full, but I am truly so grateful for this season and that this is my job!

To give you a look at what I’ve been up to lately, here’s a glimpse into my week 👇🏼

- 4 monthly client meetings (with more last week!)
- 2 new inquiry calls
- Social media consulting call
- Training session with my team member
- Meeting with my former mentee’s marketing team

There are still days when I wake up and think, “Is this really my job?” It’s SO fun! Thanking Jesus for the opportunity to do this work and truly love it!

I often tell my clients to think of what they often say to their clients and peers and share about it because that information is GOLD! Whatever you are saying over and over again is probably important. Well, I’m taking my own advice 😂

I have been sharing this with multiple social media clients lately, so I figured it was time to share about it myself!

Posting on social media can often feel intimidating for a number of reasons. Maybe you don’t have time, you hate these apps 😂, or you just don’t know what to post.

By going through this exercise of defining your brand pillars and then using the marketing funnel to create content, you can feel confident you are posting strategic, unique content that will actually make an impact.

Save this for later when you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed!

Back home from spending last week in beautiful Coeur d’Alene with my sister at while she attended Training. I was able to tag along for the evening events, which were so fun!

I am truly so impressed with the Chief Architect team and how they care for their clients. It is evident how intentional they are with their software and making sure it actually works for the people using it!

Now, I’m enjoying working from my home office (although the Coeur d’Alene library was truly beautiful!) 🤎

Happy 4th of July weekend 🇺🇸

Finishing up my to do list this afternoon and then signing off for a nice long weekend ✌🏼

On a practical note, I’ve been making two to do lists each day - one for work and one for personal tasks I need to get done. This has been so helpful for me to get through everything and not forget the little things! If you’re needing a little more structure, feel free to steal the idea for yourself!

If you’re looking to get your content in front of more people (which, who isn’t?), try adding trending audio to even your carousel posts! Instagram then categorizes them with reels, which can increase the reach of your content.

To make your life even easier, try scheduling out your posts ahead of time on the Instagram app, so you don’t have to think about posting in the midst of your work!
