Start to finish… only one gnarly fall… paddle boats, bounce pillow, arcade with loads of winning, marshmallows at the fire and a walk in the dark. Then Logan decides to fan Charly off and poof… hair twisted and wrapped up tight in the lil fan blade…honest accident but not a happy Charly. Luckily Grandad popped the fan apart and saved the day. Tomorrow we head away and will stop to play in the creek followed by the lake. Then we’re heading home. I’m so excited to see my chickens! ❤️

Day 2 with grandkids… Charly falls on concrete slabs on the way to the pool. Cuts her knee and shin…knot on shin. Sigh… I hope they remember more than the falls.

I so wanted to recreate them but never found time! The best part of Susie is herself though… she’ll chat about her family, experiences, struggles… she’ll pray for and comfort anyone reaching out…

Eventful, long afternoon… Charlie and I took the little ones to the KOA for some fun. Got to our cabin and unpacked while Charlie went to the store for food from my list. Unfortunately somehow I copied and pasted only half the list. Hmmmmm he was gone forever so I took the kids to rent paddle boats. Office was closed. Took them to the pool but I wasn’t allowed in with the dog so stood outside the gate watching while they went in to swim. We came back after an hour and Loki sped off on the bike out of site and gave me a heart attack…finally caught up and went in for a break. Charlie got back with the list of food which had nothing for a meal because I’d screwed up… luckily I had hot dogs and buffalo chicken nuggets by pure accident as I meant to drop them off when I collected Charly and forgot. Kids seemed fine with it all…. While I cooked mashed potatoes in a skillet Charlie walked around the lake with Logan… who tried to catch a dragonfly and fell in. He was fine but embarrassed and shocked… took a shower and flooded the cabin. Lmao
In 4 hours we lost a kid, had the same kid fall in a lake, same kid flood the cabin… and barely managed a meal for them. They still seem happy and excited and omg there’s still all day tomorrow to see how we can fail.

I need some help friends…my blueberries are gorgeous and producing so much fruit? I’ve served up 4 cups in a fruit salad over the weekend. I’ve 2 cups fresh in the refrigerator. I’ve 8 cups frozen in the freezer and still more than that ripening up. Fruit salad, pancakes… what else can I make? Thanks for your suggestions!

I so enjoyed seeing my bestie and her beautiful, funny, courageous, sweet daughter today! The kids had an outing while visiting Miss Dee and meeting Stephanie! I miss my sweet friend every single day and rejoice with the moments we get together!
