Disturbing research. Managers, in this deep Yale University PhD survey, characteristically underestimate women in their organizations, despite higher performance ratings on average. https://insights.som.yale.edu/insights/women-arent-promoted-because-managers-underestimate-their-potential/

Why are fewer women promoted to senior positions than men? In a study of a retail chain, Prof. Kelly Shue and her co-authors found that women got higher performance ratings than men but were incorrectly judged as having less leadership potential.

U.S., women report significantly higher levels of than men, according to LinkedIn's latest Index. 74% say they are very or somewhat stressed for work-related reasons, compared with just 61% of employed males However, they know how to cope! Women were also more likely to express interest in stress-coping actions like taking breaks during the day (45% vs. 35% of males), not checking in on work after hours (38% vs. 30%) and declining to take on additional responsibilities (31% vs. 21%).
