As one who grew up producing fashion shows, I can’t help but comment on the Max Mara Resort show presented in Venice. The video of the show which was sent via email, so smart, is beautifully produced weaving the magic of Venice into the presentation. But why is it that the designers never really detail the workmanship that forms the outfit in more graphic detail. This is what sets each collection apart and we NEVER get a good glimpse of the clothes and the beautiful bodies that they are draped on. Show me the clothes! It’s no secret that when brands tie into entertainment or get celebrity spokespeople, the sales are through the roof, consistently. Louis Vuitton, in its newest campaign “Core Values”, hit the jackpot pairing Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal mountain climbing for LV. This should elevate the brand even further than the traditional signature LVMH. CEO PIetro Beccari sees a strong relationship between sports and fashion. I see a huge coup getting these two superstars, and very respected men wearing LVMH backpacks, a solid win for taking the brand to the top of the heap. Annie Lebovitz shooting the campaign is the cherry on top.

Let me introduce you to our characters for our Happy Sox Stories: guaranteed to make you happy through the month of June.

Joshua is 33 and works for DFIN, a global FinTech company in downtown Chicago. In his spare time, he plays bass guitar for a 90’s alt rock cover band called “The Beige Situation”.

David is 28 and works with Joshua at DFIN. David is married to Samantha with a 2-year-old daughter named Lily and lives in the nearby suburbs.

Ashley is 31 and is Joshua’s girlfriend. She’s a sales rep for Sprout Social, a social media management company. She has her own apartment and a cat named Nala. She’s also into cosplay and anime.

Happy Socks, a 16 year old brand delivering happiness through expressive socks that allow your personality to shine through.
