Here are the key stats for The RBC Canadian Open:
-Anchor bets around SG: Approach. Approach has the strongest correlation with SG: Total at 0.645, so prioritize elite iron players. The key buckets are especially 100–150 yards — 14.2% from 100–125 and 19.4% from 125–150 — plus a meaningful amount from 200–250 yards.
-This looks like a scoreable birdie event, not a survival test. Scoring average is -1.25, GIR is very high at 72.0%, fairways are wide at 39.2 yards, and penalty strokes are low at 0.19 per round. For outrights, top-10s, and placement markets, upgrade players who can create and convert birdie chances.
-Putting matters more than scrambling here. SG: Putting has a strong 0.572 correlation, while Around-the-Green is much lower at 0.255. Since players are hitting a lot of greens, don’t overvalue short-game grinders; favor strong approach players with hot-putter upside.
