☕ Monday Morning Mindset
Remember the Sequence
One of the biggest differences between guessing and troubleshooting is knowing what the machine is supposed to do next.
Good technicians do not just look for a bad part. They follow the order of operation.
Think about how you got out the door this morning.
You woke up. Got dressed. Put on your boots. Grabbed what you needed. Walked out the door.
There was an order to it.
If you skipped putting on your left boot, your morning probably would not go very smoothly.
Equipment works the same way.
Every machine has a chain of events. One step allows the next one to happen.
Turn on the power switch.
What should happen next?
Then what?
Then what?
When a piece of equipment is not working, stop looking at the whole machine at once.
Find the last thing that happened correctly.
Then ask what should have happened after it.
That handoff is often where the problem is hiding.
You do not have to memorize every wire, every component, or every possible failure before you can troubleshoot effectively.
Understand what the machine is supposed to do and in what order.
Once you know that, finding where the process stopped becomes a whole lot easier.
