Our hearts are with everyone impacted by the recent storms, and we would like to do our part to give back to the community. We’re teaming up with our sister restaurant, Tomato Bar, to help our neighbors in need and we’d love for you to join us!

Ivy Alley Social House and Bucket Head Brewing in South Bend has closed, again. The restaurant and duck pin bowling venue opened on 12/19/2025. They released their first house brewed beers on 2/14. They then announced they were closing on 5/10 to only quickly reverse course and announce revised hours on 5/16. It appears that they have now permanently closed as of early August. Their page has been deleted, they are listed as permanently closed on Google, and their last Instagram post and Untappd check ins were in June. They were open as a brewery for 6 months.

Real talk. I report news about the Indiana beer and spirits industries out of a love for locally made products from my home state. I have a different full time day job. I do this for fun, not profit. In the last 5 years I might have received $50 worth of free product for my efforts. That’s not why I do this.

This week Meta rolled out a new “service” called “Meta One”. They want to charge me to post links to outside websites. They are limiting me to 2 outside links a month unless I pay $50 a month and then I can only post 8 links! There is absolutely no way I can pay for this to reach my less than 3,000 followers. Unless Meta drops this program you’re likely to see changes on this page. More reposts, less direct links. I’d love to do more original content, but I don’t have the time. And frankly, for my own physical and mental health I’m not drinking nearly as much as I once was.

All that being said, Meta sucks. Cheers!
