A federal appeals court upheld a lower court’s injunction blocking Indiana’s widely debated 25-foot police buffer zone law, ruling that the statute is “unconstitutionally vague” and “susceptible to arbitrary enforcement.”

Justices said the buffer law gives officers too much discretion and lacks clear enforcement standards.

A statewide electric vehicle initiative announced locations for 36 new EV charging stations in Indiana this week.

Half of them will be at places like gas stations and shopping centers along major highways and can charge in as little as 20 minutes. The other half can take hours. Those will be at places like city buildings, parks, and attractions like the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Children's Museum.

Two new Indiana University School of Medicine residency programs have gained accreditation to start training students next year. Recent data shows 71 of Indiana’s 92 counties are considered health professional shortage areas.

The programs will begin in July 2026.
