Our Husky/Mix pup Coraline (Cora) has been in our lives since she was 10 months old. Our son Jory adopted her from the pound in July 2014. She was quirky about the wind. I think when she was younger, she loved the wind, but as she got older, the wind seemed to scare her. She was gonna be 12 years old in October 2025.

After we lost our Black Lab Wednesday last July 12th, 2024, we were grateful to have Cora. Our son Jory, left her to live with us after he got married 3 years ago. Although he visited her often. They enjoyed their weekend runs and Cora was always so happy when Jory came.

She was grieving the other dog for months before Jada got our new puppy Evermore (Evie) on Dec 2th, 2025. For the past 5 months, Evie brought life to Cora. She enjoyed her food again, she even tried to play with Evie and she was her fierce protector. We always felt safe with Cora around and feel so empty now that she's gone.

Proud Auntie moment. My nephew/godson graduated today with a Bachelor Of Arts in Television and Media Studies. He graduated Summa Cum Laude. The 1st Summa Cum Laude in the family since mine in 1987. I know how hard that was to achieve. Congrats to my sister @ mylifeonthehill and brother in law. This belongs to you too.

In the prior video, I shared with you that I reaped the harvest from my grapefruit tree. This was the 2nd season since we planted the tree and the first time it produced a harvest. It produced only one grapefruit. I washed, peeled, cut open the fruit and then tasted. It was a tad sour, but still delicious. I think it needed another week or two on the tree.

I show you the mask I wear when checking on my 2nd ferment of Kombucha especially when it is fermenting 72 hours. Later I put the bottles in the fridge to slow down the ferment.

My husband Joe and I went to the Mary Vaugle Nature Center in Fontana to do a photo shoot.

Last year, my husband bought a grapefruit tree from Costco. He transferred the tree from the pot when it was the right time and planted in the middle of our backyard. The first season nothing came to fruition, but this year in the 2nd season, we got a harvest.

Only 2 grapefruits grew on the tree, but one fell off weeks ago. The sole grapefruit remained on the tree for weeks before we decided to pull it today the 3rd day of the new year. The fruit is the ruby red kind and although it was a little bit tart, it was delicious. I think it needed to go another couple of weeks. I'm excited to see what harvest will come next year.

On New Year's Day 2025, I did a pivot and my YouTube channel. Instead of just food and cooking content, I'm now including lifestyle content. Over the past 13 years, I've included lifestyle content from time to time at the page, but my content was primarily food related. I decided to switch and do more lifestyle content that includes some cooking. I'm going with the flow of what my viewers and subscribers want and also doing things that can bring some joy into my content creation career.
