Solovino is a two-year-old sweetheart stuck living shelter life. He’s easy to handle on the leash and LOVES spray cheese. He also has some of the best ears I’ve ever seen. Adopt him at Indianapolis Animal Care Services today!

Adoptable Boston is an easygoing, gentle, smart senior boy who keeps getting overlooked at the shelter. He is SO well-mannered and polite — and he loves belly rubs! I hate that he’s sitting alone in a kennel every day.

UPDATE: Jax is back with his family!! Right after I posted I learned they were able to get him back this morning. I’m so glad he’s with his people.

Jax has stolen my heart. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about him — and his family — since I met him. His family surrendered him to the shelter as they faced a housing crisis and could no longer care for him.

We spent two hours together last night and in that time he went from cowering in his kennel to snuggling next to me. He’s housebroken and said to be good with dogs. His previous owners said he’s not a fan of children.

I hope his family knows he’s still being cared for and loved. I hope we can find him a safe place to decompress outside the shelter.

Erwin’s head is as big as the rest of his body. I’m not quite sure if he’s part frog. His drool is epic. But omg is he CUTE.

Despite clearly being poorly bred (stop doing this people!!), Erwin is the sweetest most handsome guy who just enjoys waddling around and getting b***y scratches. He’s easy to walk on the leash and has a charming, unbothered personality.

Good news for this handsome boy. ❤️

Morning update on Hardy!!

He did really well overnight and thanks to this fantastic community - you have moved mountains and his invoice is paid in full. We are humbled by this because good humans saw his story online and made a difference in his life. He doesn’t even know how loved he is already!

Secondly the treatments have been completed so far (lancing, cleaning, getting swabs, prescribing antibiotics and eyedrops) and he is responding well. It looks like he will be going to a foster tomorrow! We interview someone with experience this morning, and it went great!

Once he is healed and puts on weight, he will need TECA surgery which will be our next fundraising target.

Just beyond grateful that IACS made the plea and got him his initial care, and were patient while we figured out logistics. Thank you

This poor dog desperately needs help.

We have been made aware of a dog at that was dumped at IACS who urgently needs rescue. He has a horrible ear infection that has cause an abscess and necrotic tissue. IACS took him to urgent care yesterday to have it drained and to be evaluated.

They think he needs
• Surgical treatment to clean and remove infected/dead tissue
• Continued care for his abscess as it heals
• A bilateral TECA-BO surgery (a major procedure to address chronic ear disease) once he’s stable

His wound refilled overnight and he is in a considerable amount of pain. We would like to get him the care he needs NOW. Here are our transparent hold ups.

-Our director will be getting a spinal fusion soon, and be without income during healing
-We need a committed foster for him who can commit to whatever medical care he will need (we provide supplies)
-We will need a huge fundraising push to offset whatever care he may need.

This is making us sick, please let us know if you would be able to foster. He is breaking our hearts.
