Baum Bros Adventures

Baum Bros Adventures We’re Baum Bros Adventures from Nebraska — four energetic boys, two pretty tired parents, and a van that’s seen a lot of miles.

From National Park survival guides to kid-fueled chaos, our videos share the highs, lows, and laughs of exploring with family.

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day! We took a little road trip and we're still finding potato chips in the minivan. More on that coming soon. 😅

If you haven't seen it, we did 24 hours in Kansas City with 3 kids. The KC Zoo was the main event and we filmed all of it. What was worth it, what we'd skip next time, and the simple swap that saved our sanity (and our budget).

It's up on YouTube now: https://youtu.be/MxQpu14dLLM

If you've watched, what's your favorite zoo memory or favorite zoo to visit with kids? Drop it in the comments on YouTube, we're reading every one.

We tried to do KC in 24 hours with 3 kids. Chaos? A little. Worth it? Absolutely — if you know these 6 hacks. 😅🦘

We stayed in Parkville (25 min to the Zoo), used our Omaha Zoo card for 50% OFF, and tracked every dollar so you don't have to.

Heartfelt truth: these quick getaways with the boys go FAST. Glad we messed it up so you don't have to. ❤️ What's your KC must-do with kids?

Let's be honest — I wasn't ready for the "pumpkin spice is back" text. 😳

One minute we're hunting for a white sand beach in the middle of the Sandhills with our boys and a cooler that wouldn't close... the next it's school lists, early bedtimes, and someone asking if we own enough hoodies.

If you're in that weird early-September feeling where summer's not over but it feels over — I got you.

Our Calamus Reservoir video is basically one last summer day you can hit replay on. Free beach. Crystal water. A trout hatchery my kids wouldn't leave. All in the middle of cattle country. We filmed it because we weren't ready to say goodbye to summer either.

It's on the channel now — perfect for after bedtime when the house is finally quiet and you're not ready for cold vibes yet: https://youtu.be/BT49H8k2aRU

What's your "one more summer day" you squeezed in this year? Drop it below — I need ideas before KC Zoo edits steal my whole week. 😅

It's LIVE! We Found a Beach and Nebraska's Largest Fish Hatchery in the Sandhills 🏖️🐟

If you think Nebraska is just corn and I-80, this will change your mind. We show you exactly what went wrong for us so it goes right for you — where to park, what to ASK FOR at the hatchery (don't bring your own food), and why the boat IS the beach.

We kept it to 8 minutes and kept it simple, because family getaways shouldn't require a spreadsheet.

Question for fellow travelers: Would your kids run to the beach first, or the trout ponds? Tell us below — and if this helped, share it with a family who needs a simple win.

We told our 4 boys we were going to the beach.

They pictured Florida. We drove 3.5 hours to the Nebraska Sandhills.

And then it happened — sunset on a beach that shouldn't exist, plus a trout hatchery with 51 ponds that had them absolutely locked in. Nebraska's largest, right there at Calamus Reservoir.

We've made the complicated trips so you don't have to. This one? The simple swap is to just go. No crowds, no reservations, just water, sand, and a cup of fish food.

Full video drops later TODAY — 8 minutes, everything you need to do it simply.

The Nebraska Sandhills tricked us - white sand beach, crystal water... in the middle of cattle country. Getting a family there? That's a van full of boys squeezed between camping equipment with no no cell service and a cooler that had to be a grocery store.

The struggle of big family travel isn't the destination - it's that everything is a logistics puzzle before you even see the water.

Calamus cut is coming - If you've ever done the Sandhills with kids, what are your must-see stops? I need to know before we go back. 😅

P.S. We jumped from 496 to 505 this week. The minivan is officially over capacity. Thanks for being here. 🚐

Honest update from the Baum Bros front lines: we dropped our National Parks Tier List last week and it turns out, ranking five national parks with four boys in the room is less "thoughtful family discussion" and more "four simultaneous filibusters." 🎤

The struggle of doing anything with a big family is that nothing is ever just done. It's negotiated. It's overruled. It's "we're leaving in ten minutes" said four times before anyone puts on shoes.

That's exactly why we make these videos. Because your family trip is going to be loud and chaotic and full of opinions too. And if we can figure out which destinations are actually worth the headache first, you get to skip the part where you're debating it in the parking lot with a melting popsicle and a kid who's suddenly allergic to walking.

New tier list is up on the channel if you want to see who won. Be sure to go back and watch some of our earlier videos as well and let us know what you think in the comments. Thanks for being a part of the Baum Bros family!

IT'S LIVE. 🏔️🎬

We ranked every National Park we've actually visited as a family of six on 5 categories.

Here's the honest truth: the "best" park isn't always the one that's best for YOUR kids. We scored all five on Kid-Friendliness, Ruggedness, Budget, Seclusion, and what we're calling the Headache Factor — because some parks are amazing if you already know the secrets.

The results? Let's just say we know how to put these parks to the test. We made the mistakes so you don't have to.

🏔️ Tomorrow. 3:15 PM. We're ranking them all.

Yellowstone. Rocky Mountain. Badlands. Wind Cave. Grand Teton.

One of these parks scored a 4 out of 10 in a category that might surprise you. And our twins may have single-handedly tanked a famous park's ranking. 😂

Saturday adventure: took the boys to the Safari Park in Ashland to check out their new dinosaur exhibit. 🦕

Look, I'm not saying a T-REX is scarier than a hangry 6-year-old at a rest stop… but it's close.

The exhibit is genuinely impressive — life-sized dinos, interactive stuff, the works. If you've got kids and need one more summer outing before school starts, this is a solid one.
