We’re thrilled to announce the Pierpont Morgan Library & Museum’s acquisition of Edie Fake’s etchings for their permanent collection 🤩. Link in bio to our press release about Edie’s prints. Also: the MCA in Chicago is currently featuring Edie Fake’s mural “The Free Clinic For Gender Affirming Care” as part of their Atrium Project Series. The installation coincides, and is in conversation with, “City in a Garden: Q***r Art and Activism in Chicago”, an exhibition at the MCA that opened on July 5, 2025, curated by Jack Schneider. “City in a Garden” examines Chicago’s under-acknowledged role in the histories of q***r art and activism beginning in the 1980s, when activists radically mobilized in response to the US government’s disastrous handling of the AIDS crisis and reclaimed the historically pejorative epithet “q***r” as a liberatory term encompassing all who purposefully deviate from heteronormative society. With works drawn from the MCA Collection and other local collections, the exhibition features over thirty artists—including Fake.

We had Tom Orr’s “Waterfall” prints in our booth at this year, and recently sent a set to collectors in Dallas. The vibrant optical patterns created by the overlapping sets of lines are a hallmark of ‘s work in sculpture, drawing and printmaking. Orr currently has concurrent exhibitions in Dallas at the Nasher Sculpture Center and Barry Whistler Gallery. The trio of “Waterfall” prints are etchings, 37.5” x 29”. The editions of 20 were published in 2008. Available from Manneken Press.

“Minor Truths: Monotypes by Sarah Smelser”, on view through May 1, 2020.

A selection of monotypes by Sarah Smelser that are at once elegant and awkward, deliberate and intuitive, skilled and naïve, with an abstract sensibility informed by drawing and that reference cartography, the body, cycles in nature, and mundane objects.

Exhibition dates: February 1 - May 1, 2020.
