In case it wasn't completely obvious: I love WFHB Community Radio. From starting out learning how to DJ, to engaging with our community by attending events to talk up the station, and now joining the news department, volunteering for WFHB is one of the best decisions I've made. That may sound sappy, but it's true! ❤️🤘

I might be a WFHB radio DJ, but there's so much about music and the music industry that I'm still learning about. One example of that is the actual process of recording and making an album. Thanks to Albert Newberry, Bart Lasecki, and Andy at Echo Park Studios in Bloomington, Indiana, I was able to see behind the scenes and learn a lot today! Albert and Bart were on air with me yesterday, and were kind enough to let me hang out while they were working on their project together. Andy showed me the different mics that were set up and how different they sounded. This was such a cool experience and I'm even more excited to hear the full album! You should be excited too, because I was able to hear some of the beautiful songs that will be included in the track list. It's absolutely going to be a really good one!

Today was such a great day to be a DJ at WFHB because I had the opportunity to interview some awesome people! Thank you to Eliza Knight for the live phone interview about music, the 1960s, music festivals, and the new book Lost in the Summer of '69! Another thanks you goes to and .lasecki for hanging out in the air room with me to talk about the different projects they've collaborated on, the recording process, and the album they're in town recording at Echo Park Studios!

You won't want to miss today's Afternoon Music Mix on WFHB because I have a couple of fantastic guests on air with me!

First up at 1 PM is a chat with author Eliza Knight to discuss her new, music filled novel Lost in the Summer of '69! (She will be at Morgenstern Books tonight at 6PM for an event!)

At 2 PM artist and producer .lasecki will be joining me to let us hear some of their new project and talk about it! If that name sounds familiar, it's because he was on air with me and American Pirates back in March. I'm glad Albert and Bart will be stopping by while they're in town recording at Echo Park Studios!
