Don't forget that in addition to voting and protesting, a way to make your voice heard by the government is to show up to government meetings and speak your mind during the public comment times.

These clips are from the County Council meeting this past Tuesday. I'm still in agreement with Councilor Hawk on the Beacon grant, am still waiting on the Monroe County Health Department to release the syringe records, and am still irritated that the Commissioners continue to be opaque.

Am I the only one that immediately thought of this scene from the movie Tombstone? Are we still expected to "vote blue no matter who"? Well, "I'm your Huckleberry. ... Say when."

In all seriousness, if there's an issue here then I hope she receives help.

One of the best things about owning physical media is the really cool album artwork, like the Take Me Back To Eden vinyl from Sleep Token that you might've heard me spin on air for WFHB radio! Since it was rainy outside, I had to play the song Rain for the vibes.

While DJing the WFHB Wednesday Afternoon Music Mix 1 yesterday, some guests stopped by and were given a tour of the station. When asked what their favorite music genre is, one person asked, "Can you play some hip hop and rap?" I was more than happy to oblige. While it's not a 100% guarantee that we can play every song request, we do our best to work them in!

Even with a window for people to see me, t's not uncommon for me to dance around the WFHB air room when I'm playing music over the radio waves. After having Tipa Tipo on air with me at WFHB this past Wednesday I knew I had to give their new album, called Arquetipas, a listen. All of the singles I've played on WFHB were fantastic, so I had high hopes for the new album and it did not disappoint! There's a range of grooves from a Latin style punk to bossanova, and I was dancing the whole time. Another cool thing is all the collaborations with artists like Pahua (who plays tonight with at Buskirk-Chumley Theater for Lotus Education & Arts Foundation!) as well as fellow local artist Amy O ! Do yourself a favor and go listen to Tipa Tipo's brand new album Arquetipas out today!
