There’s just something so exciting about taking a brand-new character from an idea and slowly watching them come to life.

And we’ve got some exciting things happening behind the scenes right now! I can’t share everything just yet, but I cannot wait to share more information and start showing you some of the new designs we’ve been working on!

🎃 THE FIRST TWO REVEALS ARE HERE! 🎃

Remember those SIX new Wonderfully Different books we told you were coming?

Well… the first TWO are officially ready! ❤️📚

And we’re starting with HALLOWEEN!

This year, Meg is bringing you two completely different Halloween adventures — so whether your family likes Halloween sweet and heartwarming or with a little more spooky fun, there’s a story for you.

👻 BOOK 4 — The Dream on Halloween Eve

For the kids who LOVE the spooky side of Halloween!

On Halloween Eve, Meg falls asleep and finds herself in a wonderfully wild Halloween dream. This one has witches, black cats, bats, goblins, monsters, slime and plenty of other spooky surprises along the way!

But don't worry — it's kid-friendly spooky, created to be fun and imaginative without becoming scary or inappropriate for little readers.

And there's something extra fun about this one: the story has a playful, rhythmic rhyme that reads almost like a Halloween song. 🎶🎃

🍬 BOOK 5 — The Sweetest Treat

This Halloween adventure brings Meg together with the friends our readers have come to know and love.

They're dressed up, they're trick-or-treating, and of course they're collecting plenty of candy! But throughout their night together, we see the friends looking out for one another, helping when someone needs it and making sure nobody gets left behind.

Because by the end of Halloween night, they discover that sometimes the sweetest treat isn't candy at all. ❤️

🎃 THE SWEETEST TREAT IS COMPLETE!!! 🎃

We are SO excited to share that Book 4 in the Wonderfully Different series is officially complete, off to the printers, and will be available VERY soon!

Wonderfully Different: The Sweetest Treat follows Meg and her friends on a Halloween night filled with costumes, trick-or-treating, laughter, friendship…and, of course, plenty of candy!

But as their Halloween adventure unfolds, they discover that what makes each of them different can also make each of them pretty amazing.

It’s a story about friendship, inclusion, kindness, and recognizing the special things we each bring to the people around us—all wrapped up in a fun Halloween adventure.

And by the end of the night, Meg and her friends discover that the sweetest treat of all might not be found inside a candy bag.

We have been working SO hard on this one, and we absolutely cannot wait for you to see it!

We’ve been a little busy behind the scenes at Wonder Hearts Press…

Okay. Maybe a LOT busy.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be releasing SIX brand-new books in the Wonderfully Different series alone.

Yes. SIX NEW BOOKS. 🎉

New adventures.
New celebrations.
A very special new character.
A little Halloween fun.
A whole lot of heart.
And more than a little Christmas magic.

Some are nearly ready to meet you. Others are getting their final touches right now.

Today, the world lost an icon. But we want to remember Dolly Parton for something even greater than the songs she sang.

She put books into the hands of children. ❤️📚

Dolly could have simply enjoyed the success she earned. Instead, she looked back toward the mountains of East Tennessee where she came from and asked what she could do for the children growing up there.

In 1995, inspired by her father—who could not read or write—she started Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

It began with children in one Tennessee county.

And then it grew.

And grew.

And grew.

By June 2026, the Imagination Library had gifted more than 325 MILLION books to children around the world and was sending out more than 3.5 MILLION books every single month.

Think about that for a moment.

Millions upon millions of bedtime stories.

Millions of little hands opening packages addressed especially to them.

Millions of parents and grandparents sitting beside a child and saying, “Let’s read.”

And millions of children discovering that somewhere inside the pages of a book, they could dream of becoming anything.

Dolly Parton gave the world an extraordinary catalog of music. Her songs will be played for generations.

But perhaps her greatest legacy won't be measured in records sold, awards won, or songs remembered.

It will be measured in readers.

It will live in the children who learned to love books because someone they never met believed that every child deserved to have one.

From all of us at Wonder Hearts Press, thank you, Dolly.

Thank you for the music.

Thank you for loving your community.

Thank you for believing in children.

Sometimes the sweetest stories begin with friendship. ❤️🐾

What started as a friendship between Becky and Marsha also introduced Becky to a lovable little dog named Rascal—and it didn’t take long for him to steal her heart.

Near the end of 2024, Becky wrote a little poem about Rascal as a gift for Marsha. Marsha loved it and encouraged Becky to turn that poem into something more.

And that little poem became Wag Like Rascal. ❤️

But Becky wasn’t finished with Rascal’s adventures! She went on to write Come On, Rascal and Rascal’s Big Farm Day, creating a three-book series inspired by the very real little dog behind it all.

One real dog. One little poem. Three storybook adventures. 🐾

We're so excited to share some wonderful news!

Becky and Marlisa have been invited to participate in a Community Local Authors Book Signing at the Jonnie B. Deel Memorial Library in Clintwood, Virginia!

🗓 Saturday, August 15
🕚 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

We are truly honored to be part of this special event and are looking forward to meeting so many wonderful people, visiting with readers, signing books, and spending the afternoon celebrating the joy of reading with the community.

As we've been learning more about the Jonnie B. Deel Memorial Library, we've become even more excited. It's clear this library is so much more than a place to borrow books. They offer programs for children of all ages, creative classes, community gatherings, and so many opportunities that bring people together. You can truly feel the heart they have for serving their community and creating a place where people can learn, grow, and connect.

Thank you to the library for inviting us to be part of this event. It means so much to the two of us, and we can't wait to see everyone in Clintwood on August 15!
