SCCA Appalachian HillClimb Series Presented by Summit Racing 6/29/24

We will be in Norton, VA this coming weekend, 6/28-6/30, for the SCCA Appalachian HillClimb Series at Flag Rock. Come out and say hi and meet some of the coolest hillclimbers around. Fan Fest is downtown Norton on Friday evening starting at 5pm. Saturday night at The Loading Dock will be karaoke starting at 8pm.

Course opens at 8am Saturday morning and we'll be in the mix of 75+ variety of cars in the running. Look for us in Florescent yellow (we'll be the one's who have no clue what we are doing 😁). We will post pictures and videos once everything is edited, so stay tuned....Let's Go Racing 🏁

Tonight we roll out our new number with a very well known driver. The 766, SMO 20th Anniversary Dodge, has been unloaded and just finished a test run and tech inspection. We grabbed a few photos to share, but if you want to watch it on the track at Daytona, then make sure you tune in to Tarnation TV tonight.

The 766 driver, Jamie Tedder, spoke briefly about the events to unfold: "Can't thank this team enough and a big thanks to Atlantic Racing World, Inc. for allowing us to run a paint scheme designed by one of their drivers. It will be hard to leave the 910 covered up but it's a pleasure to run two great numbers on one car, #7 #66. 20 years of racing with SMO and honoring two fallen members and our heros. Can't wait for the green flag!!"

Today we would like to announce a number change for one of our teams, for the 2024 season.

With our partner, , celebrating their 20 years of online racing, we would like to honor a couple of their fallen drivers.

Jamie Tedder, of Blowing Rock NC, will be sitting aside the number 910 for the 2024 season. He will be climbing in the number 766.

Jamie commented to Mountain Motorsports Gaming Media, "What an honor to run two great numbers on one car. 766 will represent my Dad, Kenny Tedder, who was the driver of the #7 and Hawk, William Hawkins Jr aka Knighthawk66, who drove the #66. Kenny passed away in Dec 2020 and Hawk left us in June 2011. Hawk was the glue for SMO for a while and was readily available whenever you needed help. Kenny was the Super Speedway King, he was tough to beat on a drafting track. Both are greatly missed and I'm proud to roll out of this garage with the 766 team."

An unveiling of the 766 will be coming soon, stand by....

(The rumor is that Atlantic Racing World, Inc. Is trying to buy the 910 number for 36 races. Not sure what kind of cheetedering that would be but may be interesting. Was told MMMG was offered $9.10. We'll watch and see....)
