🌧️ Weekend Soaker Ahead: North & Central Texas Forecast 🌧️ Your backyard may double as a splash zone this weekend! Here's what to watch for across the region 👇

🗓️ Saturday & Sunday Highlights:

Scattered to isolated thunderstorms expected both days.

Areas like Sherman, Paris, Graham, DFW, Waco, Killeen, and Palestine will see the best rain coverage.

Localized heavy rain and flash flooding possible—especially where storms train or stall.

A couple stronger storms could bring gusty winds and frequent lightning, but severe weather is not likely.

⚠️ Your Game Plan:

Stay weather-aware if you’re out and about—especially in flood-prone areas.

Have indoor options for weekend events.

Keep it locked to JasonGentryWX for updates that help you plan smarter, not soggier.

🌧️ Behind the Radar: This setup isn’t your typical Texas thunderfest—it’s got tropical vibes with lots of moisture and weaker storm dynamics. Translation: more rain, less hail.

North Texas Weather Update

⛈️🌫️ A complex of storms is heading our way from the north late Monday, bringing showers and potential storms into our area by evening and overnight 🕰️. Here's the breakdown:
- Storms expected to weaken near the Red River
- Showers and storms possible in North Texas late Monday evening to overnight
- Severe storms not expected, but lightning ⚡️ and gusty winds 💨 are possible

Stay weather-aware, North Texas! 🌟 Stay tuned for updates and plan accordingly.

🌊 Tropical Outlook – Bay of Campeche Disturbance (AL91) A disorganized area of low pressure in the eastern Bay of Campeche continues to churn near the Mexican coast, delivering clusters of showers and storms across the Yucatán Peninsula. While environmental conditions appear marginally conducive for development, the clock is ticking—any tropical formation will likely need to occur before the system moves inland Monday.

🔍 What to watch:

A tropical depression could still form as the low tracks WNW over warm waters through Sunday.

Hurricane Hunter aircraft are on standby to investigate if necessary.

Whether or not a storm forms, locally heavy rain is a concern for Belize, Guatemala, and parts of southeastern Mexico.

🌀 NHC Outlook: Medium (50%) chance of development over both the next 48 hours and 7 days.

This is a classic early-season setup—fleeting potential, but worth monitoring closely for those in the path of heavy rainfall. Let me know if you'd like a graphic or a simplified version for community engagement.
