We are so lucky to have known you, Lenore. I can't believe you're gone. You were a fierce, outstanding woman and a loyal friend. Your dedication and work in BBP lifted us all up in countless ways. Michael Emmel was a Blue Point resident for 36 years. He worked as the lifeguard manager at Corey Beach for 13 years, starting at age 17. After graduating Stonybrook, Michael taught at Bayport-Blue Point High School. He loved fitness and became a personal trainer. In 2019, Unique Fitness in Holbrook opened and hired him. He was admired and loved so much by his Unique Fitness family, his clients, family and friends. A 5K run/walk is being held in memory of Michael Emmel on August 2 at Corey Beach. More information about the run can be found at https://events.elitefeats.com/25captainamerica
Proceeds are being donated to St Jude Children's Reasearch Hospital in Mike's memory.
