Near Chattanooga, Tennessee you’ll find the “Flat Top Mountain Farm Lavender Festival” makes for one of this spring’s most stunning and incredible experiences! At this 200+ year-old family farm you’ll find rows of beautiful lavender that you can pick during the “U-pick Days” here, buzzing with bees and butterflies and incredible mountain views in the distance! Held at Flat Top Mountain Farm in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee, the tentative 2026 dates are Friday June 5 and Saturday June 6, depending on blooms and weather. Guests can walk the rows of purple flowers and cut their own bundles of fresh lavender while enjoying quiet views across the Tennessee mountains. The peaceful farm also offers photo chances with Highland cows and baby donkeys, a small farm store with lavender goods, picnic areas, and occasional live music. No tickets are required in advance, making it easy to stop by and enjoy a calm day in the fields at this beautiful family farm.

In the little mountain town of Ellijay, Georgia…you can tube through the North Georgia mountains along the crystal clear Cartecay River with mountain views and the beautiful North Georgia wilderness all around you as you float! The river winds through forested banks and past huge boulders rising from the water, and along the way you’ll drift through calm stretches before sliding down small waterfalls and fun ripples that splash over your tube. The Adventure River Experience runs about 3 miles and usually takes around 2.5 to 3 hours in a tube, with more moving water and playful shoals that keep the ride exciting. The Lazy River Experience is about 1.5 miles and takes roughly 1 to 1.5 hours, offering a slower float with peaceful pools and scenic mountain views. Kayaks are also available if you want a quicker ride. Tubes rent for $15 cash or $18 credit card, while kayaks are $30 cash or $34 credit card. The tubing and kayaking at Cartecay River Experience is typically open Memorial Day through Labor Day, with hours Saturday 9am–4pm and Sunday–Friday 10am–3pm...but depending upon the weather they may offer tubing and kayaking earlier/later in the year...and you can call to find out and make reservations!

Having a WOW sabbatical today!!☝️🙌 Happy Sunday!! I love it when you get out there, trust God with the journey and just explore… letting God be the pilot in my Hoda Pilot Touring‼️Today I found a gem of a beach in the Fernandina/Amelia Island area where I have visited many times, but never been to Peter’s Point Park Beach 🏖️… Miles of sugar white sand to run/walk, ride your bike or rest on the Atlantic coast, a drive on and dog friendly beach, as well as Horseback riding available!! Awesome covered pavilions with grills & bathhouse.
