Wind Advisory has been issued for Greenbrier and Pocahontas counties until 8AM Monday.

Wind gusts 40 to 50 mph at times will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down, and a few power outages may result.

Until 4:45 PM EDT.

At 3:43 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Meadow Bluff, or near Rupert, moving east at 45 mph.

Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts

Locations impacted include:
Lewisburg, Hinton, White Sulphur Springs, Ronceverte, Rainelle, Alderson, and Rupert.

The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for:
* VA Counties: North Central Grayson, Northwestern Pulaski, Western Giles, Smyth, Tazewell, Bland, and Wythe counties
* WV Counties: Southern Summers, Mercer, and Southwestern Monroe counties

until 4:15 PM EDT.

At 3:19 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Welch to Tazewell to Chilhowie, moving east at 35 mph. These storms are capable of producing 60 mph wind gusts, which may cause damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include: Bluefield, Wytheville, Bland, Princeton, Marion, Tazewell, and Pearisburg.

Winds will increase on Sunday, with showers and storms developing by the afternoon, all ahead of a cold front which brings cooler temperatures for Monday.

A second cold front arrives Tuesday, leading to even cooler conditions by Wednesday and Thursday.

Sunday morning will start off dry. Showers and thunderstorms will move in the afternoon. A few storms may produce damaging gusts in the afternoon. Regardless, winds will be picking up as a cold front approaches the area.
