Stayed close to home this weekend at Edgewater Sports Park for their Night of Fire! 🔥 it was hot as fire for sure 🥵

Made it to the semis before a dreaded 🔴 light to end our racing for the day. I’m not used to a tree cycling through the lights before I’m staged.

It was awesome to see them so crowded! It’s different racing with people actually in the stands 😂

It rained, it was hot, it was FUN!

578 juniors, 35 states & 3 countries 😮

Bristol week is definitely a marathon. With rain delays, it felt like a weird week this year. They did get all of the racing in! The crew and track did great! Homer on the mic 🎤 of course, ☀️ in the lanes & hanging out with friends in the evenings.

I went a few rounds in the Teel Family Memorial Race that had 500+ entries this year! Congrats to them on the turnout & what they are able to do with those funds for such a great cause.

The main event, I went out first round. Ugh. Had to flip for lane choice & ended up in the one I didn’t want. My dead on with a 7 couldn’t beat the dead on with a zero in the left lane! The competition at Bristol is like no other & it’s fun racing kids from different divisions! Congrats to the winners & we’re already looking forward to next year!

Not 1, but 2! 🏆 🏆

3 races, 3 wins!

Bringing home 2, 75th anniversary NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League diamond Wally’s from Indy feels so unreal!! I won theOakley 330 Jr Super quick race last night & made it to the finals of the Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park ET bracket series majors, but had to stop due to curfew.

So this morning, we finished that race with no time trial… I ran dead on with a 2 & I won again! That brought us to the runoff of the major/minors & I got the W!!

Special thanks to S&W Powersports for the quick turnaround on my motor fix, and bringing it to Indy for us to pick up! You rock 👊🏼

Thanks also to Buddy Wray for helping dad get everything back together Friday night! Race fam is the best!!

Long post, but it’s good! 😂

Headed home from our “racecation” today. Had so much fun over the last 10 days. Started at Wabash Valley for the big cash summer bash & headed to Beech Bend Raceway Park last Monday.

Tuesday & Wednesday we attended This is Bracket Racing junior fest. It was a great time & June and I both learned a lot from the great instructors.

Then it was on to next gen nationals at beech bend! This event was really awesome, we will definitely be back to this one & you should add it to your calendar as well! 📆

Thursday was a fun “off day” we went to Beech Bend Park and Splash Lagoon that’s was included all weekend with our race entry! We enjoyed all the rides and the water park. ☀️ 💦 🎢 🎠

Friday, it was back to business. Racing for 75th anniversary NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League Wallys! Went a few rounds but the car was all over the place and we couldn’t figure out what was going on. Dad made some changes to the set up to see if we could get it where it needed to be. Super frustrating! We ended the day at the amusement park to ride rides.

Saturday, made my first time trial! .007 on the tree & dead on! We were excited to be back in business! 2nd time trial & just past the 60ft…
💥 car stopped on the track—no power. Unfortunately, the motor was toast & our weekend ended early.

We had so many people offer motors, cars, help etc. While the outcome was crappy, the amount of folks stepping up was incredible. Race family is just built different. I don’t know too many sports where your competitors want you to be able to compete that they offer their own parts. Special thanks to Powers family, Wray Family, Benda family, Wied Fam, Coonan crew, Antron Brown & Kris Rachford for the over the phone tech support. I know there were others as well who stopped, offered support & commiserated with us as well.

Looking forward to having the motor fixed & back on track quickly!!

Super fun weekend in “Terradise” 😂

Big thanks to the crew at Wabash Valley Dragway for a great time this weekend! Thanks for the hospitality, Freddy Melecio you’re the best!

Made test passes & then ran the Friday night race and went 3 rounds which helped get the car dialed in for Saturday. Saturday brought the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League challenge day to win to a 75th anniversary Wally + 2k! We went 4 rounds with no buy backs before bowing out. Congrats to all the winners! 👏🏼 Sunday was the team race! It’s always fun to do things a little different! There were randomly drawn teams of 3, 1 from each age group racing other teams. We had the bye first round and won the second round, which brought us to the semifinal and we weren’t able to get it done.

Always a fun way to spend a weekend!!!

Now on to Bowling Green for This Is Bracket Racing Jr. Jr. Fest & NEXT GEN NATIONALS!!!
