Happy Friday, everyone πΉ
Looks like we get to start this weekend off hot, then follow on with hot AND wet! I don't want to play in this weather anymore... Can I go home now??? π
The News-news:
It's been another less-than-fun week... πΏ Our large-format machine is still down, and we're waiting for another round of parts. It's a good thing we have so many, or that could have meant trouble π
I've continued training with our 3D scanning equipment, and thanks to the enormous generosity of our contact, we now have TWO 3D scanners!!! π₯³ππ₯³ The first scanner was best suited to medium-to-large sized objects, and was creating a number of headaches in the learning process. The second scanner is best suited to small objects, more in line with the work that we do, which will make for a much gentler learning curve πΈ
Product News:
We finally managed a mostly-complete restock of our Wraithwing Dragons πΉ but... This comes with caveats πΏ
The bone Wraithwings continue to be a problem. I'm going to have to go back to the drawing board with these because the losses are getting intolerable. I'm making one last attempt with one that's printing right now, then what I have available will be all until I can troubleshoot this issue out and make corrections to the model as needed πππ
We've also restocked our large Horned Gecko Dragons and baby T-Rexes, as well as managed to squeak in a pair of snakes that everyone has been requesting. πΈ
We've also added a new version of our ever popular bees - Now we have Hornets to offer you! πΉ
New this week are new variations on our Tiny Miracles Kitten Rescue products. We've gotten in some rainbow gradient plastic that adds a new flavor to them. Personally, I wanted something a little brighter (and I have the plastic coming for that in the next restocking order πΈ) but they're still pretty. What do you think?
As a reminder, all profit from these products made for Tiny Miracles Kitten Rescue goes fully to support their mission of helping neonatal kittens in our community. It's the height of kitten season right now, and the need couldn't be greater. If you can spare time or resources, might be interested in fostering, or are thinking about adopting a kitten, please reach out to them here: https://www.tmkrescue.org/ π₯°
Last, we have our new Wiggly Kitties fidget toys. These will be available in a number of colors in the very near future πΉ For now, we have black and purple - and there will also be a Tiny Miracles Kitten Rescue version (can't show them to you right now because they won't be done printing for another 6 hours πΏ) Aren't they cute? π»
Kitten News:
It's been a while since we updated you on the Pentagon of Precious... They're growing so fast!!! π» And for the first time this week, two of them have crossed the 2lb threshold. This is a crucially important milestone, as these two are finally mature enough to be spayed. The other three won't be far behind them.
They've also developed strong personalities, and each are different.
Bear: She's changed the least of all her litter-mates. She is still a give-no-damns-take-no-crap kitty. She has developed a gentler side, however, and will come 'round for cuddles and pets. πΉ
Mamba: She might be the most changed. She's 75% less diva now, and loves to explore - but you can always count on her to come looking for a lap to snuggle down in to sleep... Guess where she is right now? π»
Sleepy: She had a diva phase, but seems to be done with it. Me or the Boss, she's always following one of us, and the first thing she does on waking from a nap is asking where we are. π₯°
Socks: She's developed into a little adventurer... Climbing the highest, going where no intrepid kitty has -or is supposed to- go. She loves to play and romp, and she L O V E S the feather wand toy... arguably too much. Sometimes, she has to be reminded that everyone gets a turn πΊ
Tufts: But for her cuddly-ness, she might slide between the cracks of the other four... but in this she outshines them all. While she plays and romps as hard as the rest, she purrs the instant she's picked up. π»
For our two resident-kitties, this hasn't exactly been easy... Polly just... She's not happy about these energetic little interlopers. As a bottle-baby herself, this isn't easy to swallow. Monster, also a bottle-baby on the other hand, wants to play so badly!!! He just doesn't know how to play with kittens. (Bonus photos of them both) π
I'm so glad to see these little ones grow, and we're both happy to have made such a difference in their lives. The bittersweet part is coming, but we're okay with that. The whole point was to bring them to a point where they could go be a part of their own family. We're loaning them our family until they're ready for theirs. π₯Ή
We couldn't have made it this far without the help of Tiny Miracles Kitten Rescue or other kind souls like Kim. They deserve every bit as much credit as we've earned.
Come see us in Building 3, #72, 73, and 74 at the Tri-Cities Flea Market. If you're coming in the front door, look for our blinking sign in the distance, just beyond Memory Lane Toy Box.
Coming in the back door, turn left, go around the corner, and you'll find us right across from Bill's Coins/ Kingsport Coin and Jewelry. Be careful in the heat and stay dry later in the week! π»
