Happy Fri... What? No, Friday can't be gone! When did Saturday sneak up on me? 🙀
I hope everybody's week was fantastic... Let's kick off with some Kitten News 😻
Bear and Tufts went home today, all the way down in North Carolina. After meeting their new Mom & Dad, I don't worry about them anymore. I'll miss them, and the Boss will, too... but that's a neat little trick life pulls on you, like giving you the test first, then teaching you the lesson... That little pain is how you know what you had was special, and that it was important to you. It's how you know what you feel is real. 😿
With many thanks to Tiny Miracles Kitten Rescue and Auntie Kim, we're glad to have seen them to where they belong and to have shared our family with them until theirs was ready. May they all grow into, around, through each other into a beautiful living whole.
Forever Stainless/Whatnot news:
We love everything about stainless steel jewelry---it's affordability, durability, and safety for people with metal allergies 😹 That said... one of us seriously favors dangly, chandelier-style earrings which DON'T typically come in stainless steel 😼 That's why we're expanding our jewelry offerings to include some. You'll notice that these are all on white cards, unlike our usual black packaging, and that's because we wanted to be able to 1) keep them separate and 2) list the materials for each pair of earrings so people can make an informed choice. The earring wearer in our family, the one with severe metal allergies, bought a pair of many of these styles for herself and hasn't reacted to any of them. Of course, YMMV. In any case, we now have 'em!
Three Dee News:
We're continuing to push forward on all fronts of expanding what we have to offer you... 😸 We're going to continue printer models like the Elegoo Saturn 4 Pro we're trialing now, but I think we're going to keep the printer-on-hand count to 3 for the time being... We'll keep more ready at the shop, but our space there at the market is just too tight to keep everything we have there.
We're still expanding our filament offerings for you. We had a shipment of Silk and Galaxy (sparkle) filaments come in today, but we haven't had time to check it in and add it to the inventory. Look for that at the Market Sunday, and I'll make a post about it later on either Sunday or Monday 😹
Prototype News:
Oh, we have a few things special for you this week... First, as we head closer to Halloween, the battery-Tea-Light skulls I've been working are finally here... The first version, anyway... More of these are coming! 🙀
Next, we have articulating Facehuggers to creep everyone out with! Keep an eye on these, because we want to push the size... We'll see how far we get 😹
Following on, we have a problem... We wanted to bring you Light Furies this weekend to go with our restock of Night Furies... But it's not going to shake out... I have a single finished prototype, but I'm super-not happy with the finished appearance of her joints 😿 I'm going to have to lay hands to some more material before I'm going to feel good about sending her home with you.
Next, we have a pair of awesome models for you. The SR-71 was a challenge, and this is likely to be the only one we're going to produce. Fitment was an enormous challenge that I ended up bypassing with my 3D pen. I may revisit this model in the future, but for now, we're going to move on to other projects 😿
Like the X-Wing 😹 This one has been a challenge as well, but I feel like I have it in a place that it'll be far more manageable in the future. It's missing its cockpit canopy, which, as I write this, just finished printing. There is MUCH more in the Star Wars line coming, and I'll be hammering through it as quickly as I can - being the huge Star Wars nerd that I am... 😻
Saving the biggest for last... We have something special that's been a long time coming... Everyone has enjoyed our Wraithwing Dragons... It's time for everyone to meet their big brother... The Ragewing Dragon 🙀
These guys, while significantly tougher than the Wraithwing, are still best suited for display only 😸 We're not sure if or not we want to offer an option for eyes for the Ragewing, so you tell us what you think! Should we offer them, or are they menacing enough as they are? 🧐
