The Bluffton Spooktacular is Friday Oct 24th!

Bluffton’s favorite family Halloween tradition is back. The Bluffton Police Department will host its fifth annual Safety Spooktacular on October 24th, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Oscar Frazier Park, 7 Recreation Court.

📣 Attention Bluffton Families! The Beaufort County School District is opening May River Elementary School in the 2027–2028 school year! 🏫 As part of this process, BCSD is exploring potential changes to student assignments to reduce overcrowding and improve school boundaries — and they want to hear from YOU.

Dear BCSD Bluffton Area Families-

As a follow-up to Friday’s communication, if you are unable to attend the below information sessions regarding student assignment in-person, you can share your feedback via our online BCSD Connected platform connectbeaufortschools.org/attendance_planning, which will be open thru November 30, 2025 .

Student assignment information sessions, all beginning at 6:00 p.m.:

Monday, October 13 – Bluffton High School auditorium
Thursday, October 16 – Pritchardville Elementary School multi-purpose room
Monday, October 20 – May River High School auditorium
Thursday, October 23 – Okatie Elementary School multi-purpose room
Monday, November 17– H.E. McCracken Middle School cafeteria
Thursday, November 20 – MC Riley Elementary School multi-purpose room

Beach Sweep

Join The Sea Pines Resort team in the largest one-day volunteer cleanup in South Carolina, held in conjunction with the International Coastal Cleanup. Volunteers will meet at the entrance to the beach in front of the Sea Pines Beach Club.
