We are watching weather models that have begun to show a potent system moving through around or just before Halloween. If this system comes to fruition, we will need to monitor for potential impacts such as gusty winds, strong storms, heavy rain, and perhaps some snow flurries (for lake effect belts) if enough cold air filters in on the backside.

This system is agreed upon by most models, but strength, timing and impacts are NOT yet known. Stay tuned for updates!

A few thunderstorms may be strong tomorrow afternoon across Northern Indiana, NW Ohio, and the lower peninsula of Michigan.

A strong low pressure system will move into the region supporting the development of PM thunderstorms capable of producing small hail and gusty winds. While widespread severe weather is not expected, a short-lived severe thunderstorm can't be ruled out however, better dynamics lie to our North in Michigan.

These will be cold-core showers and thunderstorms and those caught underneath will likely notice the temperature rapidly by 10-20°F briefly!

⚠️ Widespread frost is possible Thursday night across Indiana! Frost is also possible across Northern Indiana Wednesday night too! A series of cold fronts will continue to drop our overnight low temperatures below 36° which may lead to frost advisories this week! There is also a chance our growing season may end this week across parts of Indiana.

A very active pattern will continue with wind, rain, and pressure swings! Multiple storm systems will impact our region over the next 5-7days! Our next large system will move into the region tomorrow into Wednesday bringing colder temperatures, wind, and scattered rain showers to the region! A strong thunderstorm cant be ruled out either for Northern Indiana.

We will forecast one system at a time however, this pattern will bring many systems similar to what we experienced this weekend. While no severe weather is expected near term, renewed chances for gusty showers or perhaps thunderstorms cant be ruled out over the next week or two.
