Do you know where you are located on map? Knowing where you are on a map is essential for making sure you get correct information for your location. We all know the saying "Location, Location, Location" for real-estate, it is just as important for weather information too! As we all know, winter weather can vary greatly from others depending on where you live in Indiana.

Ways to find yourself on map
● Turn on your GPS location feature on your smart phone to find your location on a map.
● Familiarize yourself with Indiana and its demographics such as locations and counties.
● Or if you are old school or don't have access to internet, go to your local library to find many helpful resources and maps.

Feel like temperatures Sunday morning! The coldest airmass of the season will arrive during the day on Saturday! Dangerous wind chills are expected with wind chill values ranging from -8 to -25°F

Now is the time to prepare!
● Make sure exposed water lines are drained or insulated.
● Make sure your pets/livestock have adequate shelter with food & water.
● Plan on high temperatures in the low teens to the single digits with low temperatures below 0.

The Northern Lights were seen well into the low latitudes last night! A few select lucky Hoosiers were able to catch a quick glimpse through the clouds.

⚠️ Current winter alerts as of 12:00pm ET! Winter weather advisories have been issued ahead of our clipper system which is set to move in later this evening. Plan on slippery road conditions this evening through tomorrow morning.

⚠️Plan on slippery travel conditions across portions of Central IN and southern Indiana overnight tonight into tomorrow morning.

Final call snow totals for system 1.
A minor change as this system is trending to be more narrow and a tad further south than what was previously forecasted leading to a narrowed swath of snow.

Snow will begin to move into portions of Central and southern Indiana later this evening after 6:00pm ET. A swath of 2-4" looks promising across portions of Central and southern Indiana this evening and overnight tonight. Depending on where the heaviest bands set up there may be a few areas that see higher amounts closer to 5". This system should be out of the state by early tomorrow morning. Another system moves in on its heels bringing additional snow accumulations on Saturday. More information on that system to come.

Today will be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the 20s and 30s. Our next clipper system will start moving in late this afternoon around 4:00pmET or so. Moderate snow will be widespread across portions of Indiana by this evening with the main exception being SW Indiana who will not see much precipitation from this system. Your evening commute should be ok however roads are expected to become snow covered by evening into overnight tonight.

Tonight snow will continue to fall before ending by your morning commute. Roads may still be snow covered in places Friday morning. Lows tonight will be in the 20s across Northern Indiana and 30s across Southern Indiana.
