According to the report presented at last week's Blythewood Town Council meeting, 80 percent ($20,000) of the $25,000 allocated for the Juneteenth event was paid out to UniversalCMG World Entertainment on March 27, 2025.

“I am not sure where that money is now,” the Town's Marketing Director wrote in the report. After the meeting, The Voice learned that the check for $20,000 was cashed on May 1, 2025.

🚨 MISSING PERSON – PUBLIC ASSISTANCE REQUESTED 🚨

The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s help in locating Timothy Lee Gillie, age 62.

On December 4, 2025, deputies met with a family member who reported that Mr. Gillie has been missing since Monday, December 1, 2025, at approximately 2:00 p.m. His last known communication was a text message at 12:45 p.m., in which he stated he was at an appointment at the Dorn Veterans Affairs Hospital in Columbia.

Mr. Gillie was last seen wearing:

Black jacket

White t-shirt

Blue jeans

Black shoes

He is described as:

Black/ Male

Approximately 325 pounds,

Walks with a limp

Tattoo of his daughter on his arm

Mr. Gillie was dropped off at the Flying J on North Main Street in Columbia, where he stated he planned to take the city bus to O’Neil Court to update his address at the DMV, and then travel to the Dorn VA Hospital.

Investigators contacted the Dorn VA, and they advised that Mr. Gillie did not have an appointment on December 1, but he did miss scheduled appointments on December 3 and December 4.
