Congratulations on retirement, K9 Nero 🥹❤️

Thank you for your service

After more than seven years protecting the streets of Kinston, K9 Nero of the Kinston Police Department in North Carolina has earned his retirement. 🐾

Nero served alongside his first handler, Sgt. Lucas Miller, and most recently with Officer Candace Wilkins — a partnership built on trust, training, and countless hours of work that kept their community safer.

K9s like Nero give years of their lives to public service. Project Paws Alive (PPAK9) exists to make sure they're protected while they do it — with bullet/stab vests, first aid kits, vehicle heat alarms, and more for departments that can't cover the cost on their own.

Congratulations on your retirement, K9 Nero. Enjoy the well-earned rest. 🐾

Rest in peace, K9 Charlie ❤️

Rest easy, K9 Charlie. 🐾

The Norfolk County Sheriff's Office, Massachusetts is mourning the loss of K9 Charlie — a rescue dog who became one of the region's most skilled ballistics-detection specialists.

Charlie started life in a shelter. He was adopted, trained, and went on to spend years working alongside his handler, Capt. Billy Ruprecht, recovering fi****ms, ammunition, and firearm components in dozens of investigations and warrant searches. The pair supported Metro-LEC task forces, local police departments, and federal agencies across Massachusetts.

Charlie passed away after a battle with cancer.

Sheriff Patrick McDermott and the entire Norfolk County Sheriff's Office are extending their thoughts to Capt. Ruprecht and his family.

From shelter rescue to law enforcement hero — every life protected by fi****ms he helped recover is part of his legacy. 💙

We're asking for everyone to take a min to say a little prayer, mojo, voodoo what ever your jam is, for one of our good four legged frens.

Retired K9 Havoc starts his chemo treatment today. His cancer is progressing & they're hoping this at least slows it down or shrinks it.
He's fought bad guys for 8 years, now it's time for him to fight this ugly beast.

Havoc's treatment is possible because of the help & support of Project K9 Hero . Thank you for helping our fren.
