Today is World Pet Memorial Day. I originally planned to share all of the beautiful pets I’ve had the honor of drawing for my customers, but I wanted to take a moment to honor the four dogs I’ve lost: Miley, Blizzard, Lola, and Bandita.
I will forever miss these four amazing dogs, and I am so grateful they were part of my life, even if some of that time was far too short.
My business started because of my love for my dogs and the realization that so many people feel the same way about theirs. I lost Miley and Lola while running this business in 2023, and those losses completely broke my heart. Being able to create memorial artwork and help others who are experiencing similar grief has meant more to me than I can put into words.
I am forever honored that so many people have trusted me with the memory of their beloved pets who have crossed the rainbow bridge. All the stories and love shared by customers really keeps me going everyday!
Today, I’m remembering Miley, Blizzard, Lola, and Bandita, and all of the pets who are deeply loved and deeply missed.

Meet another long-term resident at Saved by Fate Rescue, Sky! Sky is an American Pit Bull Terrier with an estimated birthday of June 1st, 2022, and she does not deserve to spend another birthday in rescue. She deserves a home of her own!

Sky absolutely loves people and is happiest when she’s around them. She constantly makes people smile and already knows “sit,” “shake,” and “down” (sometimes all at the same time). If her eagerness to show off all her tricks at once says anything, it’s that she is incredibly eager to please and loves making her people happy.

Sky enjoys the company of other dogs, though her playful, energetic style may be best suited for medium to large dog friends. While she can be silly and energetic during playtime, she also knows how to settle beautifully and enjoys exploring on walks. She loves car rides, adventures, playing fetch, and taking in the world around her.

Sky is described as the perfect mix of fun and calm. She is loyal, loving, and easy to train. While she’s wonderful in so many ways, she would not be suitable for apartment living and would need a fenced yard that is at least 6 feet tall.

Sky is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is fully sponsored, and you can apply to adopt her (or any other dog) at SavedByFate.org.

If you have current pets and are approved, the entire family, including pets, will need to meet Sky prior to starting the two-week adoption trial period.

Sky is currently located in Kentucky and waiting for her forever home.

If you want to be rich in life, meet Rich!! He is the longest resident at Saved by Fate Rescue, and his adoption fee has been fully sponsored!

When people see an animal labeled as the “longest resident,” it can make them wonder, “Okay… what’s wrong with them?” Rich is proof that sometimes absolutely nothing is wrong, even the most perfect dogs can get overlooked.

Rich is about 4 years old, super friendly, and easygoing. He loves all kinds of toys, but chew toys are definitely his favorite! One of the perks of adopting an “older” dog (even though he’s only FOUR) is that he’s well past the destructive puppy phase. Rich is great on walks, crate trained, and doesn’t have accidents in the home.

He is currently being fostered with another male dog and has also spent time around small breed dogs, doing well with the dogs he’s met! He hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but the rescue can test him upon request. Rich has also done great with kids 10 and up!

Rich is already neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Meet Bargain!!! She’s a 7½ year old ultimate couch potato with a side of adventure ✈️ While she loves lounging around, she’s always up for a good outing or a car ride. And despite her name, Bargain definitely won’t be cheap when it comes to cuddles, she’s a total people lover who just wants to be as close to you as possible.
Bargain is low maintenance and truly happiest just being around her people. She can be a bit selective with her dog friends, but her sweet, affectionate personality makes up for it 🥰
Bargain has been virtually adopted, so her adoption fee is fully covered!

🎉CALLING ALL SHELTERS/RESCUES OR SHELTER WORKERS/VOLUNTEERS! 🎉
I’m doing a new ABC drawing, but instead of breeds this time I want it to be shelter animals based on their names.

So A could be Angel, C could be Cupcake, S could be Sweet Pea, R could be Rich, etc. Basically just real shelter animals from different rescues/shelters filling the alphabet.

If you know any, please put their name in the comments (and tag the shelter if you can so I can get pictures). They can be adoptable or long-term residents or just animals that deserve a little extra attention.

Meet Velma, no, not from Scooby-Doo, but from Villalobos Rescue Center! Velma is searching for her next home after being owner surrendered when they could no longer care for her. She’s described as a soft soul and pure sweetness!
Velma is about 7 years old and loves everyone she meets. She has a calm, gentle presence around humans and just melts for affection! Although she loves every human she meets, she would prefer to be the only pet in the home, as she is not fond of other dogs. This lovebug is crate trained, incredibly easygoing, and enjoys car rides!

Meet Panuk, a stunning 1-year-old husky! He may be shy at first, but once he warms up he will be playful, silly and full-of-life! Panuk LOVESSS other dogs and would trhrive with a canine sibling. His favorite activity involves ANYTHING to do with water… he doesn’t even need a pool he would be perfectly okay with a water bucket that he can dunk his legs into! Once he’s comfy he’s SO silly; he loves to zoomie around, play bow, and let his husky sass come out!
His ideal family would love his sass and be ready for activity levels!

Breakfast is an 11-year-old sweetheart available for adoption through Villalobos Rescue Center. True to her name, she’s always first in line in the morning to greet employees, maybe because she’s excited for breakfast or just loves attention that much.
This happy, wiggly girl hopped straight into a car one morning when she was found wandering and hasn’t stopped winning hearts since. She’s friendly, playful, and confident! Breakfast has a big personality and plenty of love to give.
Breakfast knows some tricks too! She can sit, fetch, and come when called, and while she can be energetic, she calms down easily. She’s affectionate, loves people of all ages (including kids), and isn’t fazed by much.
A few things to note: Breakfast would do best in a home with experienced dog owners. While she adores humans, she doesn’t do well with other dogs or cats, so she’s looking for a people-focused forever home.

My post is a little late, BUT I’m so excited to share that I’m participating in Muddy Paws Rescue’s Pawtraits for Good fundraiser! 🐾
In just ONE day, they raised $20,000 and sold 60% of the available portraits, which is incredible.
