Surviving four brain surgeries made Allstate agent Michael Rogers want to give back.

So he joined a local chapter of the Brain Tumor Society. That was 20 years ago.

Now, he lends a hand wherever he’s needed.

You’ll find him serving with The NEST, a food pantry supporting Nassau Community College students.

Or with Island Harvest, bringing more than a dozen agents together to process 350,000 lbs. of food.

Or with The Book Fairies, getting hundreds of books to under-resourced communities.

How can you give back?

Mike has an answer:

“If there’s an organization you want to do work for, just go ask them. That first step is the hardest.”

Would you believe this. Because Republicans in the House didn’t want to fund the Government for the Oct 1 start of its fiscal year, they had to use a Continuing resolution to fund the Gov through Dec. but they forgot to fund DISASTER AID. And funded aid money is and aid money is about to run out.
