CP Groupâs 10th Annual Tree Lighting & Holiday Extravaganza lit up the Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC) on Thursday, November 20, bringing together 3,780 attendees to celebrate a decade of tradition and giving. Emceed by Emmy Award-winning journalist and CBS12 anchor Liz Quirantes, this yearâs Polar Express-themed soirĂŠe delighted guests of all ages with a night of festive performance and magical memories, all centered on the lighting of BRiCâs iconic 40-foot Christmas tree.
This yearâs event continued CP Groupâs tradition of supporting two local nonprofits: the Spirit of Giving, a collaborative organization that focuses on helping children and families in Palm Beach County, and the Junior League of Boca Raton, an organization dedicated to promoting volunteerism, empowerment, and community betterment. General admission was free for guests who brought a new, unwrapped toy or made a monetary contribution to Spirit of Givingâs Annual Holiday Gift Drive. CP Group collected over 400 toys, spreading holiday joy to families throughout the area. Over $8,000 was raised through VIP Tent ticket sales, benefiting the Junior League of Boca Ratonâs mission, while over $2,500 was raised for CPG Cares, CP Groupâs 501(c)(3) charitable foundation, through sponsorship of the eventâs popular inflatable candy canes and a portion of cash bar proceeds.
BRiC transformed into a festive winter wonderland for the milestone celebration, complete with Polar Express-themed dĂŠcor, twinkling snowflakes lining the entrance, and activities for all ages â as well as a daring arrival by Santa himself, parachuting from an airplane. Other highlights included live performances by the Palm Beach Youth Orchestra, Organic Movements Dance School, and local magician Magic âJâ with MamaMia Magic Entertainment; a curated lineup of food trucks from local favorites; a 360-photo-booth and snowman bounce house, all capped off with an outdoor screening of The Polar Express under the stars.
Children enjoyed visits with Santa, Mrs. Claus and their elves, rides on the trackless train, and crafts inside Santaâs Workshop Tent featuring holiday-inspired birdhouse building with Habitat for Humanity and artNEST Studios, and holiday bookmarks and letters to Santa with the Boca Raton Historical Society. The tent also featured an adoption center in partnership with Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue, where families could meet and interact with puppies â or âreindeer-in-trainingâ â in search of their forever homes.
