There was a time...

I lost myself along the way.

I didn't even know what my favorite food was anymore because meals were made to survive

I catered to everyone's emotions because it was easier than speaking up about my own.

My life revolved around routines because it meant keeping things going despite how drained I was.

That changed when I realized how unhappy I was with my Self...

I was carrying so much that I avoided my own pain & sorrow.

I thought I was being strong but it was actually the opposite.

Something started to break through...

This yearning to connect to my Self...

To find peace in my heart...

To feel alive again...

Because eventually the kids would grow up and live their own lives...

My husband was my spouse and somehow I blended in too well...

I needed to find me

It felt so uncomfortable at first...

So foreign to know more about ME... to love ME...

Yet I've taken on new adventures, challenges, and a deeper fulfilling awakening to return back to Me, but a better version...

More than a "Mom", a "wife", and a "teacher"...

but as "Tina"...

And to bring light to what simmers inside my heart

The journey continues ❤️ every day

This is the second time...

a student gave me money...

The first time, it was a 'tip' for being a great teacher.

I returned it because the parents didn't actually know she gave me money.

This time, the student gave me money for Teacher Appreciation week.

He said I can buy myself a cup of tea.

That's the sweetest gesture!

As working parents, we know a cup of tea or coffee is more than $5;
cost of living, food, and gas is steadily increasing, yet salaries/ income remain stagnant.

The question for you is...

How will you make ends meet if your income stays the same?

How can you save for retirement if you're barely making it now?

Most people rather not give up their lifestyle and would rather get another job.

This is your sign! And it's better than a job...

𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐲 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬.

I also know I had to hold space for myself to honor both of those emotions in it's own time.

The sadness comes in waves and it carries so much weight.

The joy in reaching my success makes me feel free.

For now, I am celebrating reaching my 3rd milestone in my digital business!

The sudden loss of my brother in law was a shock to us all.

Even though we lived in different cities, he checked in on all of us quite frequently.

During the 2.5 day celebration of his life, I got to hear stories of how he impacted and influenced other's lives despite his own struggles of escaping a war-torn country.

I reflected on my own life:

* how do I want to live my life?

* how do I want to live a life of service?

* what kind of legacy do I want to leave behind?

I won't wait till my life is "perfect" to help others but rather to make the choice that I can help someone every day.
