The best part of my days are spending slow moments with Luke and watching his imagination unfold. He is so creative during play and comes up with the most detailed stories and scenarios. One of my favorite things about being a parent is looking at life through a child’s eyes.

I realized around the time Luke was three that the most important thing to Luke is connection. He really values quality time with each member of our family. I think most kids do but Luke is very vocal with his needs in this way. I had to figure out how to incorporate him in my daily tasks so that I could take care of things but also stay connected with him. I try really hard to carve out time when we are just together and enjoying each other though. No task at hand, no dinner to make, no laundry to help me with, just kid stuff. And honestly, it’s the most important thing to me too.

There is something for everyone in the Gruene Historic District of New Braunfels, TX.

From art galleries, fantastic restaurants, live music, the famous Gruene Dancehall, the river and tons of little shops, this little neck of the woods will leave you wanting to come back for more.

Day one of challenging myself to a mindful movement challenge.

My goal is simple: move my body in an intentional way outside each day.

A bike ride, walking, jogging, etc. My normal outside chores and tasks do not count.

I am outside a lot but it feels like lately I am always outside to work. With the recent heat, I have been getting inside as soon as I can. We have been a tad cooler now, so I am gonna challenge myself to get outside, move my body and enjoy the sunshine again.

I know he is young still but I absolutely love these little moments of seeing his skills progress, learning to focus & ignore distractions. And best of all him being proud of HIMSELF when he does well.

📍Inferno’s Pizza || Boerne, TX

I was expecting Inferno’s to be good but I was actually blown away by how delicious it was. A local follower of mine suggested I go here and it did not disappoint.

It wasn’t just the food that won me over though. The service was absolutely spectacular; which is hard to find I feel like these days. If you aren’t in the mood for pizza, there is definitely something delicious for you on their diverse menu. The kid pizza was a great size. The playground & patio were fantastic and clean.

Honestly 10/10 recommend if you are in the area.

This little shop is right in the mix on the and booming with goodies for you and your littles.

Luke loved looking at all the throwback toys and candies and there is just something about mixing up your own bag of bulk candy.

Definitely put this on your list of fun stops as you stroll down Main St in Boerne!
