As heard here on Boerne Radio last night- your Boerne Greyhounds beat Alamo Heights once in September, but they would have to do it again for a regional title. My broadcast partner Polo Botello said it best:

I could spend hours recapping a very eventful game, but I only have 2 minutes- so instead, I’ll set the scene: late in the 4th… 18 seconds left in the game… Alamo Heights had already taken the lead on a touchdown, 49-48. Boerne has a chance down the field… let’s take you to the play.

Sweeney finds Frazier, and adds a 2-point conversion after. Boerne is up 56-49 at this point. Kickoff occurs, and Alamo Heights has less than 10 seconds remaining. Here’s how the game ended.

What a game. Final 56-49 Boerne wins… and will compete in a semifinal rematch from one year ago- Richmond Randle who is undefeated comes to the Alamodome next week at 7pm to face Boerne in another classic. We’ll have coverage here on Boerne Radio as always.
