Marina Bauguil is a ceramic artist who works primarily with paper porcelain to create figurative sculptures ✨ She studied sculpture at Falmouth School of Art and Design, then completed a City and Guilds course in ceramics in Nottingham.

Her work explores her relationship with nature, drawing inspiration from various cultural sources. She uses a meditative approach when creating pieces and works intuitively. She's particularly influenced by tribal and ethnographical figurative art traditions, including the Dogū figures of ancient Japan and Divination figures of Angola.

Hernan Bas, Born 1978 | Miami, Florida 🌴

From a "spooky childhood" filled with UFO sightings and Bigfoot encounters in the Florida woods to becoming one of contemporary art's most captivating voices
The Journey:

Started painting at just 3-4 years old

Attended Miami's art magnet program (basically art school since 7th grade!)

Graduated New World School of Arts in 1996

Left Cooper Union after one semester - already knew his path

🏛️ Where to find his work:
MoMA, Whitney Museum, Brooklyn Museum, Hirshhorn, and more
His dreamlike paintings blend q***r narratives with paranormal themes, creating worlds where young dandies and waifs navigate between reality and the otherworldly

"Growing up was kind of like living in the X-Files" - and that haunting sensibility flows through every canvas.

Currently: Living and working between Miami & Detroit

The algorithm doesn't determine artistic worth. Your art ❤️ doesn't need applause to have value - it just needs to exist. Somewhere out there, someone is searching for exactly what you're creating, even if they don't know it yet.

Keep making. ✨
Keep showing up. 💫

From the woods and coastlines of Maine comes an artist who has never questioned their calling—only what it means to pursue art professionally in today’s world. Their journey from avoiding watercolor in college to embracing it as a medium of courage and growth reflects a broader artistic philosophy: trust the process.

Currently preparing for their first solo collection at this November 2025.
