In case you’re new here! We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit located in Boise, Idaho. We are dedicated to enriching Boise’s cultural landscape through jazz music. Our shows feature world class touring artist, local artists, and outstanding student musicians. We provide Boise with jazz club/listening room experiences and create experiential learning opportunities for local students through performances which open most of our shows. We hope to see you at a show in the near future!

ANNOUNCING… the recipients of grant funding for fiscal year 2027!

We’re thrilled to share that 38 recipients will receive a total of $150,000 in grant funding to support projects taking place throughout Boise between October 1, 2026, and September 30, 2027.

These projects will bring arts, culture, and community connection to Boise residents throughout the year.

We will also have a free Informance on Monday at the Sapphire Room from 4-5:30pm for students and community members. If you're a student, bring your instrument, there may be an opportunity to jam with these amazing artists!

Warren and crew will also be going out to Rocky Mt. High School on Tuesday for our new Jazz Forward educational events in the local schools. We're very excited to add this opportunity for students in the valley.

Join us at the Hemingway Center for a special double bill featuring NYC vocalist Naama and Alex Sjobeck’s Double Bass Trio.

Both sets are drummerless, creating space to hear the individual voices of the piano, basses, and voice with even more clarity.

September 10th, NYC jazz vocalist Naama shares a bill with Alex Sjobeck’s Double Bass Trio for a one-of-a-kind show at the Hemingway Center in Boise.

With no drums, the music leaves space for every note, letting you really hear the warmth and beauty of two double basses, piano, and voice.

Lala’s Jazz is excited to present our first Local Feature of 2026 at the Hemingway Center — featuring The Midnight Jazz Cats!

Playing a lively mix of jazz standards, swing, bossa nova, and western swing, The Midnight Jazz Cats bring humor, energy, audience participation, and serious musicianship to the stage. Dancing, singing, laughing, and good times are highly encouraged.
