Saddened to hear of the passing of longtime Bolivar football coach Doug Potts. Coach Potts was a major influence on an untold number of young men's lives. Aside from our parents, high school coaches have the opportunity to impact our lives on a daily basis. One of the young men that Coach Potts influenced many years ago was my father-in-law Jerald Andrews, who is currently the Executive Director of the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame. Jerald wrote the End Zone article for the very first issue of Ozark Preps Illustrated in November 2010, an article appropriately entitled "The Influence of High School Coaches."
