This is Part 2 of my 2026 Bombay Beach Biennale series, and it hits a little differently now with the sudden and untimely passing of my friend, Kevin “LiT” Key. I almost wasn’t going to release it. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I needed to—because Kevin played such a pivotal role in its creation. In fact, he was a big part of why I loved Bombay Beach in the first place—from his warmth and generosity to his free-spiritedness and creativity… he embodied the spirit of this community at its core. He’s also an integral part of the video series itself—both appearing in it and contributing to parts of the editing and research along the way. So I’m dedicating this video to his memory. And I hope it can live on, in some small way, as a tribute to the incredible human being he was. 💔

A few weeks back, I went to Bombay Beach—on the edge of the Salton Sea—to experience my first Biennale…

I did not expect this.

Neon bikes.
Renegade art installations.
Pop-up dance floors in the middle of a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

I knew I had a place to park and crash for the night—
but every time I got close to settling in at my friend's camp, something stranger, louder, or more beautiful pulled me right back into the chaos.

This is Part 1 of my 5-part series from the Bombay Beach Biennale — The Last Judgement.

It starts with a simple road trip… and quickly goes sideways.
