I'm hoping you guys can help me with some family advice. We were all planning on going to my brother's house for Christmas this year. Over the past few years, there's been a lot of tension between him and his wife, and the rest of the family. So I was looking forward to getting together and smoothing things over. He called this week and said that both my dog and my parents' dog would not be welcome at their home for Christmas because they "don't want to deal with the hair". The fishy part is, we've had our dogs there before. My parents are pi**ed, they don't want to have to pay for an airbnb or hotel when there are plenty of open rooms at my brother's. I am not sure what to do, as I feel like cancelling will only cause more drama. But I can't believe how difficult they're being after offering to host Christmas. What should I do?!
